Another example of Anja Schneider’s varied and cosmopolitan writing, the Berlin-based doyenne continues the run of vocal-led productions characterised by their emotive feeling and sense of meaning. Immediately recognisable from its distinctive organ lead, 'I Care For You' seduces with a deep, tribal rhythm and soulful vocal. Opening with sombre, raspy chords and the pitter patter of faraway percussives, ‘I Care For You’ is an ode to Schneider’s connection with the dancefloor and club life. After losing the biggest part of her professional life during the pandemic, she admits she found it hard to know how to stay positive and manage your own mental health.

Written during the lockdown, when dance floors were closed, it's not a club or dancefloor focused track. “This track is all about the vigilance and respect for one another. Take care of those you love and try not to lose those special connections through the hardest times. A reminder to all my friends that I am always there for them” says Anja. Deep kicks and warm lows surround as keys draw out the melody matched by spoken vocals talking of love and togetherness. ‘I Care For You’ nods subtly at the hopefulness of the early ‘90s House scene with razor sharp modern studio techniques and that unique sonic beauty Anja escribes to all her own productions.

Having recently featured on Bedrock bossman John Digweed’s ‘Live In London’ mix compilation, Claudya steps forth with her first full label debut: ‘Dance Little Boy’. 

A match made in house music heaven; Claudya may seem like a new name to some, but she’s been honing her deep, pulsating and hypnotic sound for years as Masaya. Inspired and reenergised by her new alias, the Chilean Swiss artist comes flying out of the doors with these three smouldering late night sessions… 

‘Dance Little Boy’ encourages us all to the floor with its brilliantly slow-burning build up and a stunning pay-off four minutes into the groove when the extra bass tones come booming in. It’s backed up by two more moments of total technoid immersion… ‘Sunshine’ adjust the contrast to bring light into the mix, all sweeping chords, lingering pads and a hazy sense of focus, while ‘El Choquero’ saves the biggest mind-bending trip for last… What begins as a deep, lingering sense of tension goes full-on freak out with alien rhythmic textures, and a groove that bites down hard and never loses grip. Industrial strength feels for an industrial strength label debut, we hope to see Claudya return to Bedrock again in the future.

For legendary UK dance label Bedrock's 200th release, John Digweed & Nick Muir invite German DJ & producer, Jonathan Kaspar, to remix two of their tracks to mark this special occasion.

'Live Off The Grid' was originally released in 2014 as part of their 'Traveller’ album, a collaboration with anonymous sci-fi writer John Twelve Hawks. Jonathan Kaspar's remix increases the tempo of the track, and juxtaposes the deep mysterious spoken-word vocals with elegant, futuristic synth samples.

Jonathan Kaspar's second remix is of John & Nick's 2021 track 'Stand Still’ that was a stand out feature on the Quattro album. Jonathan Kaspar underpins the floating synths with a thumping beat, driving throughout the track and transforming 'Stand Still' into a deeper, darker dance track.

The eclectic tastes of British producer and DJ, Aubrey Fry span through the electronic music spectrum and earlier this year he released a stunning single ‘The Loop’. Now, Alex Banks and Charlie May deliver powerful remixes of the track.

Hailing from Brighton, Alex Banks is a DJ & Producer who explores deeper sounds influenced by jungle, broken beat, dubstep and techno. He consistently pushes the envelope with an adept technical skill and sound design which commands repeated listens. His remix combines a driving beat and futuristic synth samples primed for the dancefloor. The second remix comes from Producer Charlie May, who creates a deeper, industrial soundscape and builds to two suspenseful breakdowns.

2018 marks the return of Mind Over Matter's head honcho Embliss to the label. The Rotterdam-born, Oslo-based "man of melodies" is back with two tracks that feature his typical sound. 

"Better Days" is an intricate, melancholic tribute to the past, with fragile piano melodies and lush pads. On the flip side we find "So Wrong": a more uplifting take, where heavy basslines and catchy vocals take the main stage.

2018 has been a big year for Eric Luttrell. Along with the release of his ‘Intergalactic Plastic EP’, the American-born producer has played the DoLab stage at Coachella, Holy Ship, Tomorrowland, as well as supporting Above & Beyond on their North American Tour.

Originally featured as Annie Mac’s ‘Hottest Record In The World’, the EP’s title track ‘Intergalactic Plastic’ now gets a stellar remix treatment via Kidnap, Clarian, and Bebetta.

Kidnap builds on Luttrell’s graceful chord progression, combining a chugging bassline and 80’s plucks to create a lush sunset soundtrack, whilst Clarian chooses to get deep, favouring brooding staccato synths and a thumping four-to-the-floor kick. German native Bebetta closes out the package with impeccable sound design, transforming the original into a melting soundscape of twirling synths.
