Having recently featured on Bedrock bossman John Digweed’s ‘Live In London’ mix compilation, Claudya steps forth with her first full label debut: ‘Dance Little Boy’. 

A match made in house music heaven; Claudya may seem like a new name to some, but she’s been honing her deep, pulsating and hypnotic sound for years as Masaya. Inspired and reenergised by her new alias, the Chilean Swiss artist comes flying out of the doors with these three smouldering late night sessions… 

‘Dance Little Boy’ encourages us all to the floor with its brilliantly slow-burning build up and a stunning pay-off four minutes into the groove when the extra bass tones come booming in. It’s backed up by two more moments of total technoid immersion… ‘Sunshine’ adjust the contrast to bring light into the mix, all sweeping chords, lingering pads and a hazy sense of focus, while ‘El Choquero’ saves the biggest mind-bending trip for last… What begins as a deep, lingering sense of tension goes full-on freak out with alien rhythmic textures, and a groove that bites down hard and never loses grip. Industrial strength feels for an industrial strength label debut, we hope to see Claudya return to Bedrock again in the future.

The eclectic tastes of British producer and DJ, Aubrey Fry span through the electronic music spectrum and earlier this year he released a stunning single ‘The Loop’. Now, Alex Banks and Charlie May deliver powerful remixes of the track.

Hailing from Brighton, Alex Banks is a DJ & Producer who explores deeper sounds influenced by jungle, broken beat, dubstep and techno. He consistently pushes the envelope with an adept technical skill and sound design which commands repeated listens. His remix combines a driving beat and futuristic synth samples primed for the dancefloor. The second remix comes from Producer Charlie May, who creates a deeper, industrial soundscape and builds to two suspenseful breakdowns.

Lo, 'tis a pair of veritable lynchpins of the Selador family, two colossi of our catalogue, a pair of electronic music heavyweights.

Blimey o'riley, it's only Robert Babicz…remixed by James Harcourt…for your delight and delectation .

As we hurtle towards our tenth anniversary, a glance at our now somewhat bulky catalogue shows it to be peppered with sonic missives from the man like Babicz, every single one a winner. And when invited to select a track from said oeuvre to take his remix scissors to, James quickly zeroed in on 'Red', a best seller and also our first vinyl release from back in 2016.

The last 18 months have seen James Harcourt catapulted to the upper echelons of the electronic music league table, with A list DJs falling over themselves to play & praise his output. Needless to say, we are suitably chuffed that so many of his titanic tunes have borne the Selador stamp.

Here, James keeps the effervescent hook from the original front and centre, whilst enveloping it with moody synths and roof-raising crescendos throughout an insistent yet uplifting workout. Another nailed on, surefire winner, no doubt destined set for dance floor carnage.

So, we've got our latest showcase primed and ready to go and face a dilemma. We have no less than eight (count 'em) new tracks to tell you about, a stunning sonic smorgasbord that summarises all Selador holds dear. But with our collective attention spans allegedly getting shorter, our poor befuddled minds crushed between vapid soundbites and oppressive 'long reads' – how do we do them all justice in a press release that hits that 'perfect length' sweet spot? And of course, while we yak on, your time could be better spent listening to the aforementioned sonic smorgasbord.

So, the challenge we have set ourselves is to get you as excited as we are about this titanic tuneage while limiting ourselves to a max ten words per track – and without using the words 'banger', 'anthem' or 'piledriver' (the boss noticed our over-use of that last one). So without any further ado…

Graziano Raffa returns to the label with a sensational three tracker - Masquerade EP.

Italian-born DJ, producer and Hernan's partner at Sudbeat, Graziano's roots are varied and interesting. From DJing the globe at venues such as Warung, Ministry of Sound and Thuishaven to releasing music for Tale & Tone, Plattenbank and Balance, he's as invaluable to us as he is to every party he's rocked. 

Opening with title track, 'Masquerade' powers into life with a carnival percussion underbelly supporting a gnarly Reese bass of such gargantuan proportions you'll only be able to play in outdoors! Marrying techy stylings with old skool progressive chunk, this track sits up perfectly for those pre-peak moments with consummate ease. 

Tough drums and a gritty bassline set 'Depolarized' apart. Growing over the opening bars, plucky chords breathe life into this early set chugger with bags of personality. Adding to it's musicality in the second half, this becomes one wild ride. Rounding out the EP, 'Marginal Value' goes a little deeper. Delicate synths juxtapose the tough, sparse drumwork with more than a touch of deep house crossover, before analogue synths take over midway and inject some late night funk.

BICEP | GLUE // CLIP

LNOE is closing off the year with another collaboration from Sasha, this time alongside rising star Franky Wah. This release gives a taste of the musical ties between the two and paints a unique picture across the 4-track EP. Franky Wah has been making a name for himself releasing on labels such as Afterlife and Ministry Of Sound amongst others.

‘Haunted’ the title track shows instantly that the combination of these two artists is certainly not a gimmick and sets the tone for the release. Franky commenting on their collaboration says: "Sasha has played a huge part in putting me on the map by supporting my music, so it’s an honour to be able to collaborate on this project with an artist that I’ve always looked up to. This EP is a perfect amalgamation of both of our sounds and I’m really proud to get this one out.”

The raw break-beats drum sounds which we all know and love, paired with modern melodic synthesizer work and dreamy vocals make up the recipe for this standout record. The sonic character oscillates between these energetic grooves and dreamlike states. The release will feature four original collabs, all defining another perspective on the sound between Sasha and Franky.

My passion for house music started from an early age from first having vinyl decks as a teenager in the late 90s. Have always loved the progressive house genre from aspiring djs such as the likes of sasha, Digweed, Anthony papa, dave seaman and quivver. Have recently started djing again in the new era of digital which has took some getting used to, and no I don't use the sync button which you can probly tell sometimes in my sets 😂😂 anyhow
