Hmm. This track's called 'Sandman' because I asked my wife what I should name it and she said, 'Sandman...coz you've totally got your head in the sand'. To be fair...that IS exactly what I was doing at the time :). 
Sometimes the sand is a good place to put your head. If you like to 'bury your head' from time to time, this track is for you.

HEY...THANKS FOR CHECKING OUT MY MUSIC. I really appreciate it.

I'm 59 (same age as MOBY) and have been a muso since I started learning guitar at 8. I mostly play acoustic guitar and fretless electric bass. I also sing a bit and dabble on the keys.

My main musical love at the moment is producing electronic music - probably because it's so immediate (like photoshop for sounds) and I can 'go down the rabbit hole' as far as I want (usually for about 10-15 hrs using approx 40 elements in a finished track). I record 'real' instruments for some of my tracks but they're mostly made using software synths and virtual instruments in FL Studio 21. I hardly ever use loops, preferring to build elements like drum patterns, bass and melody lines with either a mouse or controller keyboard (Arturia Keylab61 Essential / FLKey Mini). I've given names to most of my tunes but some still just have a code: year/my initials and track number. 

I'm enjoying the creative process and will keep producing instrumental tracks until I feel I'm ready for the next stage - adding lyrics/vocals. Until then I'm focusing on getting better at arranging and mixing. In the future I'd love to play acoustic instruments and sing live over electronic tracks.
