Acid influenced many of us. In fact, for a huge proportion of us, acid kicked off this sweaty, painful, yet incredibly fulfilling journey. The 2 originals by Dircsen utilize the 303 in different ways - the opener ‘Beyond Collapsing Silence’ sounds like an instant acid house classic with its energetic drums & dreamy atmosphere, whilst ‘Depth Scan’ slows it down, focusing more on hypnosis.
Rounding off the 3-track EP is an idiosyncratic remix of ‘Depth Scan’ by L.I.E.S. legend, Florian Kupfer. A dubbed out original gets well and truly saturated.

New Zeland born, Berlin based artists Dylan Syben alias Dilby strikes back. After a successful compilation appearance on Beef (with Mc LowQui) let's welcome Dilby back with a proper artist EP. Both tracks are oscillating between deep techno vibes and stripped summery groovers. Warm and analog feel is an essential ingredient in both tunes. On the remix duties we have a Berlin 'always in demand' artist Niko Schwind. Niko is a key artists in the popular Still Vor Talent label/booking agency and also a very talented Dj. Jason Milton Lowe aka JML is Sydney based dj and producer. He is also the man behind Vibrating Balance label and events. On the remix duties we have dutch artist Maximiljan who is signed to Mobilee, Moon Harbour and Liebe Detail. Maximiljan delivered rather deep and techno interpretation of the original track. 73rd Beef Records release comes from Leipzig, Germany. Erik Ellmann is quite a new name in the game. His early music influences comes from jazz and early hip-hop grooves, which later transformed into love for house music. Erik made his first production steps back in 2010 and now it is finally time for his debut EP.
Two original tracks are deep and positive. While Buck Up is more of a peak time club bumper type of track, Brown Acid is a classic string orientated moody track with nicely implemented samples.
EP is also featuring a fine hypnotic remix by russian project Mobile Soul System. Artem and Yuri already touch based with Beef Records back in 2013 when they won a remix competition of the widely known Shades of Gray.

Ander B is a DJ, producer and live performer based in Barcelona. Originally from the Dominican Republic in Caribbean. The sounds he creates are based on classic house, which he melds with thick layers of Detroit and Chicago House, as well as jazz, soul, funk and disco. 'The Black Sun' is his second 12" for Czech label Beef Records, following the Delano Smith + Petre Inspirescu supported 'Outta Space' EP in 2016.
On the flip side we have remix by Lee Renacre aka 100HZ (Oblong, Bosconi). Lee Renacre has been around since early 90ties producing rather abstract odd beat infused grooves. 100HZ delivers wicked reinterpretation of the track 'Free'.

Although previously known for his work in the world of jungle and drum & bass, recently Moscow based producer Marco Lazovic has proven himself to be a formidable talent in the world of electro and house through stand out releases on Lobster Theremin’s “White” series and GASP Records. Lazovic’s work is unified by an uncanny grasp of tone; skillfully jumping from genre to genre with a confidence fueled by his passionate and deep knowledge of the sonic touch points of dance music history.
 
Lazovic’s latest release Ocean Voyage continues the artists gleeful genre plundering with a six-track sea cruise into the aquatic world of electro out this month on cassette via Prague’s Beef Records. Bolting Bits is thrilled to premiere. the record’s A1 and title track “Ocean Voyage.” Eschewing the darker tones of the genre in favor of twinkling lightness, “Ocean Voyage” plays like a seductive electro descent to Bikini Bottom.
 
Making expert utilization of the distinctly jack sensibility of the traditional electro sound palate, the rhythmic pull of “Ocean Voyage” is undeniable. Off setting the clear Drexicyian influence, Lazovic’s tune replaces gurgling bubbles with shimmering 64 bit waves crashing with gentle grace.

Over time this place had become an empty shell, the exterior now covered in dark green ivy. Once upon a time people had journeyed from across the country to visit this wonderful residence for elegant parties, the kind that were beyond imagination. A spectacle, a fun fair, a place where general debauchery was encouraged and no secrets left the building. Now this place had been forgotten, merely a distant memory that may have always been a dream.

Russian artist Maksim Batyunin, who is now based in New York City, is fully focused on producing really cool original underground house cuts. His debut release on Beef was a remix of Carina Cooper - this track received a huge response from key jocks in the house scene. 
We are happy to present his first artist EP featuring two remixes. First remix is by the head honcho of Time Has Changed records, also one of the most promising young producers coming out of Paris - Damien Almira aka Timid Boy. Damien in on a roll with his original work for labels such as Viva, Upon You and Tunnink Sport. The second remix is by Shadi Megallaa, Egyptian producer also living in New York. Shadi is signed with Matt Tolfrey’s label Leftroom for which he worked as A&R as well.
