Beeldenstorm - Afrikaans Melodic Death Metal:

Over the December/January holiday season of 2009/2010 the concept of an Afrikaans Melodic Death Metal band started to form within a small circle of likeminded individuals. By the end of 2010 and in the beginning of 2011 a full line-up was assembled consisting of: Dewan Briedenhann (Waldi van Hunks), Lea Aus Nord, Michael Jones, Hilton Olivier (Hilton Niersteen Olivier) and Stephen Brink-Jones.

At the end of 2013 Beeldenstorm and Michael Jones(drummer)(RIP) parted ways. The addition of Alex Toua to the Beeldenstorm line-up was made. Along with this came the departure of Lea Aus Nord due to personal reasons. Both will be sorely missed. Eugene Rossouw joined the Beeldenstorm family shortly thereafter.

Beeldenstorm has since played events in and around the Western Cape including venues such as R.O.A.R,Buckleys Bellville, Aandklas, Zula Bar,Nameless bar, Banned Rock Lounge, Metal4Africa’s Winterfest ’12 (Klein Libertas) and Summerfest '2014, Rock the River and many others. 

With rapidly rising popularity, demand has been created for an album, which Beeldenstorm has recently been completed. Details regarding 'Die Donker Wetenskap' to follow soon. Album t-shirts available. Contact and order via the Facebook page.
