"BEELZEBUBABBLE"  
      a word born on a ward in BRUM: the 90s .. it spoke wildly + haphazardly of pain, sadness, philosophy, voices, ghosts. It still exists exiting & re-emerging at will ..

  Once I'd given everything up .. dog-ends, psychedelics, herbal hippy cons, pharmaceuticals I truly did not need - some for me remain provably wise - gallons and oceans of booze,  swift sneaky not-so-secret chasers, wet denim and delirium tremens for breakfast .. I set about documenting said journey in a creative way, aiming to articulate my personal healing process with a view to helping others albeit a tough proposition. 

   On 17th August 2024 I celebrated 25 years of sobriety and abstinence.
       I have either an ADDICTIVE PERSONALITY or am a SCOUNDREL & WRECKHEAD depending upon a person's own philosophy or politick or even their comedic and ironic self-denial and pious hypocrisy.

  Respect to Stuart (STEWPOT) for the title and inspiration here.. a #hybrid .. fusion.. part ballad,  part  mantra, part electronic, part mystic  .. me - lost then found in drizzle + cool magical refreshing mists singing carefree and alone up in new terrain: the wild cinematic clouds-scraping scree hills.

 Mantras and age-old wisdom stick around for obvious reasons . ..  most #beelzebubabble tracks stem creatively from 40 yrs of songwriting skills developed as one half of ALLEN & DOUGLAS:  vocals, timing, melodies and lyrics. 

  A&D wrote 100s of songs, 10+ albums over 40+ yrs.. and now? well, impermanence, i guess, something freer, a healer, pursuit of peace and my calmer old self. i'm incorporating sections + loops etc I made during covid messing with and twisting up #bandlab and #loudly sounds. To me said apps are adjuncts, 21st century wah-wah pedals, echo-chambers, weird filters that aid me and widen my palette.

      impermanence .. 

    As a wonderful gifted and lost friend of mine James Borritt said to me laughing:

   SID, I AM BIPOLAR, I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CHANGE MY MIND.

    He was a genius, only geniuses conjure up one-liners like that. Soon I will fish out more and more music done with James, Labelled and other writers and bands over the years. 

    Returning to my right to CHANGE MY MIND as a bipolar sufferer also I have elected to kill #beelzebubabble and reinvent as #changeflow.


   BEELZEBUBABBLE is around anyway: omnipresent, flirting, larking about, writing a debut novel, messing with the lexicon . . generating new leads.. beelze is a gigantic part of me .. dead? yeah.. sure ..

    But maybe impermanence is not permanent.. I no longer care .. my raison d'etre now is survival in the midst of brutal enduring mental illness . . some people mock, ridicule, dismiss ..

    I can and should sweep their legs and stand over them but my tao is peace, always has been in a lifetime replete with sadness and now i will return to that mindbending, often applauded peace and the noble paths I know. 

    Apologies if i burst out laughing occasionally. It is a cool joy: a peace and joy that makes me smile daily, smiling dogs, butterflies, the sun, moon, beauty, wisdom, birdsong, the calm and light of angels.

PEACE IS STRENGTH
   KINDNESS IS WONDERFUL
       LOOK FOR HEART
          AND SOUL.

   DO NOT ALLOW YOURSELF
      TO BE TRAMPLED
          BY FOOLS!

   And so #beelzebubabble is dead .. yet still part of a wider tapestry. And said entity is sure to re-evolve and re-evolve and re-evolve.
