Marcel Hardeman professionally known as Marcel has been creating music since the early age of 16. Marcel was introduced to music in general by his father who was a well-known DJ in the metro-Detroit area in the 70s-80s. Musically inclined since then, Marcel first tried his hand at music by imitating his father, becoming a DJ. Marcel wanted more, secretly crafting his skills as an MC, and later producer. ​ Losing his father at a young age, Marcel had to become the man of the house. Teaching himself to, “Love and live life”, Marcel continued with the music. Releasing his first project in 2007, with was an olde to his late father entitled; “Son of a DJ”. The rap album preformed well locally, even obtaining slight regional success. After the release of this project the humble, loyal, musician decided to take some time off from music and focus on other business endeavors. ​Now the father of two sons has decided its time to reinvent himself, getting back into music. The newly released, “More than a Dream” is Marcel’s latest offering of music. “More Than A Dream”, had lived in Marcel’s thoughts for the last decade. Being quarantined allowed Marcel the time needed to make those thoughts and dreams a reality. What can only be described as, “The meaning of new life.” Marcel knew it was time to finally let the world hear his true voice. ​The son of a DJ is now recording R&B music, producing, writing, and singing the melodies and harmonies that were waiting to be heard. Standout tracks like; “Borderline”, “The Life”, and “Light Bulb” ensure this latest offering to keep fans wanting more.
