When man learnt the way of the gods, and mastered the power of the nucleus, he brought devastation upon his race. Centuries of art, culture and monuments were wiped out in an instant. What remained was the debris of a world in ruin, the seed of a new world. Albeit a planet without the knowledge of the glorious past. A world that had to start afresh, and rediscover arts lost even to the age of old. 

In relearning the past, the new man awakened the elder gods. They took to roaming the land, and wreaking havoc with the same politics that once wiped this pristine world to oblivion. Taurus, the lord of war, banded the new race of man together, and quenched his blood lust with battles and destruction. Ancient robots, created to guard the gargantuan laboratories where nuclear experiments were once conducted, became the priests of this new age. Moreover, nuclear radiation from the battles of old transformed human communities into scaly, blood thirsty mutants. This brave new world, became a grave new world. 

One god remains aloof from the ways of man. This is Gonrod, the lord of gluttony who lives merely to satiate his hunger, and gorge upon those who are in his path. The hunger of this new world that longs for the ways of old, compares not to the hunger of this massive leviathan, who lives to eat. Gods and men alike are consumed with gusto by this great beast. Many worship at his altar, knowing not that he cares not for servitude...but simply to feast. 

Immortal and Vile is the soundtrack of a world in peril. One that begs for a new start, or an end to the disarray that plagues the land. A plea for salvation and damnation. A hapless plea, because this is a world condemned to suffer forever.
