Moonlight Sonata

I was inspired by 'Diagnosing genius: the life and death of Beethoven' by Martin Mai. I'm really into his dark way of composing, and haven't played anything of Beethoven yet. Also the video lectures of Jonathan Biss at the Curtis institute of music, gave me lots of help. So this month's classical piece will be the Piano Sonata No. 14 in C-sharp minor (Op. 27, No. 2) - written by Beethoven, also known as the Moonlight Sonata (completed in 1801). 

So the process took me 3 days to study the sheets and in the end it was recorded by Feau, who did a great job mixing and mastering the piece.

The Piano Sonata No. 14 in C♯ minor "Quasi una fantasia", op. 27, No. 2, by Ludwig van Beethoven

This is a piece that I sincerely hope is praised and played by many. I have worked for so much time on this and really hope that it is worth it. My love for music is beginning to hurt me and make me a little agitated because I am, in fact, starting to lose my hearing. No worries, though, nothing bad at this point. It is just a struggle to hear some pitches and frequencies. Let's hope that this doesn't affect my abilities to do what I am good at.

This is a string quartet playing one of my pieces of music. This is a distinct piece from my third stage of compositions and is considered to be one of the better pieces by later critics, apparently. You would never know that based on how people talk about it now. According to them, my deafness is dramatically affecting my abilities.

Chopin – Nocturne Op. 9 No. 2

Dmitri Shostakovich wrote his Symphony No. 2 in B major, Op. 14 and subtitled To October, for the 10th anniversary of the October Revolution. It was first performed by the Leningrad Philharmonic Orchestra and the Academy Capella Choir under Nikolai Malko, on 5 November 1927. After the premiere, Shostakovich made some revisions to the score, and this final version was first played in Moscow later in 1927 under the baton of Konstantin Saradzhev. It was also the first time any version of the work had been played in Moscow.

My practice took me far. It helped me surpass my deafness and make progress when dealing with madness. The world of music needs to change constantly. We cannot stay in the classical era forever. That is something that I am doing. I'm changing this music that we have so that the generations to follow can mold it yet again into something new. I'm open to the critics so let me know what you think.
