This is the bibliography of Brown Subs. Originally written with Daniel Gills AKA  "024DMACK", in cell 2c4 Of metro west detention Center. Unfortunately, shorty after Mack was released he was killed  in miami fl. So instead of being A Duo track, it became a tribute. Not only to Mack . This is for every young black man who we've lost to these Cold Streets 🔥🔥

Deep in The Trenches

Freddie Slumz is a 31 year old artist from one of Miami dade’s 
Notorious neighborhoods, Brownsville ( AKA ￼ brown subs). ￼ Born November 14, 1991, Freddie Slumz was raised  by his grandmother.. although she showered him with love the the grimey Liberty city’ streets picked up her teachings after she passed in 1999.

That’s when the  cycle of of incarceration began for him. And at the age of 11￼ he found himself entering miami dade JAC (juvenile assessment center) ,
Then in the next minute, he was 30 years old
 On his way to jail again for a probation violation.  30 YEARS OLD !!!!

However, Throughout each incarceration his artistic ability began to grow. ￼ The  raw poetic-like Lyrics  he created in his composition books was repeated by the inmates in the prison yard by the most through OGs.

The artistic way he expressed the loss of love, the absence of Purpose & he his personal experiences in the streets , were perfectly drawn in his metaphorical style . He painted pictures with his  Emotional /aggressive style of rapping. 

However , like most young black men who enters the system at such a young age, he was blind to the fact that he was institutionalized. 

So the cycle countinued , and through out each incarceration he found himself turning to his note pad . Music was his heroin that got him through the sting of  defeat, that only a man or woman who’s been on lock could feel. 

The wordplays and imagery he created in those notepads got him through the agony of being trapped by months days and years . Then he was release from prison . Only to go right back to prison a month later. For what you ask ? Parole Violation!

Shortly after Freddie’s second release from prison, ￼ he met that woman who is the cause & effect , that changes a boy into a man. & when their paths crossed she forever had A dynamic impact on his life.  “ Queen Drayko” ￼ also mentioned , “Sho￼rty Mack” , ￼ by Freddie on multiple tracks in his first EP #4evaYoung. Amolisha Coleman ￼motivated Freddie to begin to write actual rap lyrics after hearing his Spoken word poetry (which she thought was rap lyrics anyway). Queen Drayko was all he was missing , but like always he found himself back in jail 
 But this time “Shorty Mack” was there throughout his transition from Poetry to hip hop ; & incarcerations to
freedom.￼  

 Ever heard Murphys Law ?

“￼ If anything can go wrong, it will.”

 Weeks later , he found himself back in Miami dade jail again. However , after this incarceration his  entire life was about to change. 

A few weeks after his capture by the US Marshals￼, sitting in the Miami detention center his Uncle/ Mentor, Cedric “Bigz” Anderson, Succumbed to his long battle with cancer 😢. 

 The mental absence of his “Unk” was too much for him to hold inside. 

So He begin taking out in on others.

For two weeks straight he single-handedly turn the Miami detention center upside down. Inciting riots, mostly dealing with his gang , the blood nation , and the rival gang the  Latin kings. 

After a Two week-rampage, the Miami dade Captain determined he would be placed on administrative Confinement.

Locked Inside that small one man room , Freddie finally broke down and cried. As he cried thoughts , memories , Losses , pain, images flashed before his tear stained eyes and found life through his raspy freestyle .

Quickly, he reached for his notepad and begin hitting the blueprints of his first Rap. And hour and half later, “ Deep in the Trenches “ was finished. Shook with emotions  of his God-Given talent, with a trembling hand he grabbed the phone that laid idle on his confinement flap and called Queen Drayko. Before she could say “hell-o” he cut her off and whispered … , “Ive found my purpose. I now know what Allah put me on this earth to ￼do ,baby.”
