Behrad Tehrani is a DJ and music producer who resides in Vancouver BC and is best known for his unique brand of acid techno fused with hypnotic melodies and traditional instruments of the East. His signature sound is unapologetically raw and the energy of his performances is as infectious as his own. 

For a DJ from a country in which dancing is illegal, Behrad, has sure turned many law abiding citizens into outright criminals.

Born in Tehran, Iran on March 29, 1994 he was classically trained in Cajon and piano as a teenager, and launched his music career in 2016, when he became a national DJ for the Motorcycle and Automobile Federation of Iran. This allowed him to share his love of techno with the crowd, but stunted his creative expression. 

He soon found Iran’s underground rave scene, where music was limitless and he was free to experiment with sound. He fell in love with the honesty of the scene, but paid heavily for the privilege in the spring of 2019, when he was arrested and beaten to unconsciousness for DJ’ing at a private event.

Shaken, but unmoved in his resolve to share music with the world, he continued his exploration of sound in his studio, producing some of his best tracks:

Immigrating to Canada in June 2022, he founded: Ride The Rave (RTR), a techno music based entertainment and event production company that aims to show what the future of music technology and its collective synergy has the power to become.
