Behuá Icára - Ritmos para Sanar Vol.2 is our second compilation in order to support artists from the Amazonian ethnic Shipibo Konibo, in Ucayali Perú, all profits will go directly to the Shipibo Konibo artists that has participated in the compilation.

In some of the tracks there is a collaboration between a Shipibo artist and a producer, like Peruvian producer Valicha, with Shipibo deceased maestra Panshin Beka also known as Olivia Arévalo “The last meraya”, Shipibo Rapper Wihtner FaGo and Eomac from Ireland, Reshijabe also known as Olinda Silvano with Carmen Villain Norwegian Mexican as well with Ciel from Canada, other Shipibo artist Milka, Nimia and Rawa has collaborate with Peruvian producer Aristidez.

The artwork is based on Shipibo artist Lastenia Canayo - Pecon Quena and his guardian the Maquisapa Monkey, with the graphic designer Beto Prieto, and the Xao Kené pattern by the Shipibo artist Inin Bita.

In May, longtime Vief collaborator halle o’malley got in touch with an idea. She’d come across the Instagram of a 17-year old Palestinian musician called Samih, who’s life has been torn apart as a result of Israel's recent onslaught on the Gaza strip. Their home destroyed, Samih and his family were forced to flee to a refugee camp in Rafah. During their displacement, Samih has gone viral posting videos of himself singing and playing a borrowed oud.
 
Having spoken to Samih and received his blessing, Halle planned to sample a video of his and donate the proceeds from the sales of that track to a GoFundMe set up for him and his family. Halle approached the label with the idea of scaling this project up by inviting other producers to sample Samih themselves or provide original tracks of their own.
 
Madhoun now stands as a compilation containing four productions sampling Samih, an interlude, and nine other dance tracks generously donated by producers from across the world.
