1. Lucidflow: How does a creative day look/feel like for you?
waking up early. sun. good workout. touching goosebump music. delicious coffee. yoga. being genuine.

2. Lucidflow: How do you hinder yourself in being creative?
too much macbook, facebook and internet. not being myself. living up to the expectations of others or my projections. stupid distractions like e.g. tv and news that only drain my energy.

3. Lucidflow: how do you support yourself in being creative?
feeling loved, setting priorities, getting my needs met, meeting friends, meditating, workout, psychological work, feeling, enjoing nature. creative questions like e.g. in Dr. Stephen Wolinsky’s books. humour, laughing, weeping.

4. Lucidflow: How did you come across Lucidflow?
I founded Lucidflow together with my dear friend Helmut 2009 to have a platform for our Klartraum output in the first place. :)

5. Lucidflow: Tell us one of your greatest wishes:
I wish everybody was in her/his Unique Self.

6. Lucidflow: If you had an infinite amount of time and money what would you do:
I would do the exact same thing but with more high-end equipment, high-end teachers and in a sunnier spot on this planet (at least in winter hehe)

7. Lucidflow: Anything else you would spread to the Lucid world? 
Mark Twain: “Whoever is happy will make others happy too.”

To celebrate Mark's gifted us 3, yes 3 whole mixes... which you'll be able to hear all through today. 

The first one StopDon'tStopMix - the one you have in your ears right here – recorded almost 10 years ago for a long defunct podcast website, it has gained legendary status amongst heads and diggers, as Mark switches effortlessly between styles and introduces us to gems Javaroo ‘Breaking In’, Black Gold ‘C’mon Stop’ and Nora’s Italo version of ‘Dancing In The Dark’.

Mark's very kindly allowed us to dust it off and can share it you again... so here it is, in all its glory!

Producing and running labels since the early 90's, the now Stockholm based Mark Seven has been releasing some rather fine records on his Parkway imprint of late. Parkway is a label  inspired by the sounds Mark first fell in love with that emerged from the explosion of creativity that occurred post-Disco, when electronics became more affordable and when the music moved back underground, with names like Paul Simpson, Winston Jones and Boyd Jarvis, Emergency, Streetwise and Easy Street. Records with Herb "The Pump" Powers and exclusive edits and remixes of rare Black music releases of the 1980's. Unsung tracks that fed into a sound that became House. A history that, without people like Mark, would have already been forgotten.

Just in time for pool party season comes the latest endeavor from Cancun-based producer The Funk District. Riding a cool, summery breeze straight out of the Yucatan is “Robot Soul”, a super-groovy affair that features remixes from Richard Seaborne (Midnight Riot!) and Hotbox plus a B-side offering in the form of “Right To Humanity”. With previous releases by The Funk District on trusted imprints like Editorial Records, Paper Disco, and Deep Sense, Whiskey Pickle are proud to welcome this budding talent to the fold.

Kicking things off, The Funk District gets things nice and warm with his original take on “Robot Soul”, relying on smooth organ pads, delayed guitar riffs, and a silky bass line. Richard Seaborne’s remix amps up the tempo and adds some funky flute riffs and a mean Moog bass while Hotbox’s dub remix is stripped down and hypnotic. Closing up the shop is the equally funky “Right To Humanity”, a perfect pairing to the lead cut with its fluid guitar riffs, vocoder vox, and cheeky vinyl cracklings.
