HOLY COW that tone gets really close to Periphery I guitar tone!! That Amp Match feature is SOOOO MIND BLOWINGLY SCARY!!!! Never in my life before I'm able to nail Periphery's tone easily just with a few clicks on a VST plugin. Good job Positive Grid!!!

All New Materials (Re-Mixed using Positive Grid BIAS Desktop Tone Match)

I was too foolish and too hasty to post the clip yesterday without checking my mix on different speakers :( As a consequence, the bass' midrange got drowned out in the mix without me even knowing it; also my ears were pretty burned from hearing all the mixes so I couldn't hear anything wrong with my mix yesterday.

So here it is, a revision of Tuhan Yang Benar that I uploaded. Nothing changed except the bass.

The Youtube version will stay as it is, a bold reminder for me to check the mix before even thinking about posting it :(

Finally done with this song. This is my new original music, called Rainy Days. It's an experimental soundscape-ish progressive metal song with a touch of ballad and mellowness. It's definitely influenced by many bands and artists such as Dream Theater, Periphery, Andy Timmons, Steve Vai, and many others.

All guitar and bass sounds are from BIAS Amp desktop version by Positive Grid. The synth parts are from my Yamaha PSRS710 keyboard. Enjoy!!

Let It Snow - Gary Wiryawan

This is my very own metal tune. It's inspired by lots of different artists including Dream Theater, Periphery, Sithu Aye, and many others.

I used my cheap Ibanez Gio 7 string that I don't even remember the exact model name, but I replaced the pickup to DiMarzio D-Activator on the bridge and Blaze on the neck.

Bass is all stock Ibanez BTB 775PB that I love so much.

All guitar and bass amp+cab sims came from Bias Amp Desktop by Positive Grid. All the effects are either from the ReaPlug, Scarlett Reverb, or Valhalla Shimmer.

Definitely a very collaborative project with a lot of feedback going back and forth between Fletch and me! Fletch provided the Telecaster guitar track at 0:10, 1:09, 1:46(ambient), 2:25, and 3:23.

I wrote a tune years ago called Decisive, and I take out just a small part of the interlude and expand the chord progression into this semi-electronic track. Guitar is as always my strat, bass is all electronic using VST samples, drum is using MT Power Drum Kit II, and piano+synth is using Yamaha PSR S710

Sorry I deleted yesterday's track, I just noticed that the bass drops on parts of the song sound really bad and clips the whole thing. I re-mixed the whole thing again today.

So this is my cover of True Worshippers song called Yesus. I re-arranged some parts in the song to make it sound more interesting and powerful. This is one of my favorite song and it's a great reminder that I have Jesus on my side whenever I feel sad or down.

Technically speaking, I really struggled with my synth playing ability. I don't want to MIDI the synth, so I really play the parts with my Yamaha PSR and tried to nail them down with countless hours of practice. Guitar and bass parts were also challenging but I come up with a little twist here and there to make it sounds nicer overall.

This is a song about you, being a superhero, getting through the whole story, conquering mountains of obstacles, being defeated many times, but each you decided to get up, trying to fight again, and finally challenging your toughest opponent, defeating him, and becoming the victorious hero that you are right now.

Guitar and bass recorded using Positive Grid Bias Amp desktop, drum recorded using MT Power Drum Kit. Guitar is Ibanez PGM30 with LiquiFire and D-Sonic from DiMarzio, bass is Ibanez BTB775PB, and DAW is Reaper.

It has that progressive metal-y chorus in the middle, but the breakdown is future-bass-y vaporwave-y thing, and in between I gave the song that cinematic breakdown thingy too. Anyway, this is a re-made of my old song called Edge of the Mind that I wrote and recorded in 2014. Now it's more appropriate for 2017 I guess...

I love the tone that it produces, I just don't like how it gets in the way when I play. I surely will be sad when I see it go someday....
