Easter Egg just cracked!

Almost everyone was waiting for the second Bicep artist album in early 2021, a barely needed colour flash in dark Covid-times. They provided what a lot of people were hoping for, an great album. Except the standard album tracks, the Deluxe Vinyl edition featured 3 exclusive Bonus tracks, "Meli" is one of them. Introduced first on the "Atlas" vinyl release as a hidden track, this Rework is based on the Beatless album version. It's something quite euphoric and flashing now prepared to play for dancing people.

The playlist turned into a fluent studio mix in the last weeks.

Josh Wink & Lil Louis - How's Your Evening So Far? (Bek Rework)

Here's my brandnew Rework of MRD's "Out Of Red". The Original version is a 155 BPM fast Trance/Dance track with a nice glimpse of Joy Division/early New Order vibes. Really lovely vocals sung by MRD himself (as far as I know). Unfortunately 155 BPM is a bit too fast for me, so I took a look onto the elements and started working on it at 128 BPM. Hope you enjoy it! Feel free to share and drop some comments!

You may know this pop song already, kind of liked it as i heard it first. The official remixes, didnt do it for me, way too far away from the original. Thats why i started to work on my own rework. Based on the original. Re-arranged the original version a little, to make it more playable for DJs. Some sound elements and FX were added too. Heres the result!

First heard this tune in a Remix version in Sasha's Miami Boat Cruise Party Set and directly fell in love with it. At least the original version was available, so I started playing around with the original version, played some keys and drums over it and in the end this is the result. Oscar & The Wolf - Somebody Wants You (Bek Rework)

Here's my Edit of an Klock & Dettmann's track that was original released in early 2006. It's a dark, spacey groover with an exceptional drum section. This rework contains some rework of kick, bassline and ride + FX and off course it was arranged a bit more compact.

Here is a Edit of 'Ice Cream and Bonus MIles' I have made for the 2012 This is Summer Mix with a little bit more dynamic arrangement compared to the Original. The TIS significant flyby FX also included. I'm really loving the organic bassy sound, played it lots of times, also in my set for ANTS at Ushuaia in September 2015.

Like every year since 2010, May 31 marks the public release day of my annual summer mix called 'THIS IS SUMMER'. It became kind of my signature mix for the summer months. Hand-picked tracks, sunny grooves, danceable and smart music, that is what TIS '17 stands for. Most of the music featured has barely been played in my recent DJ sets, just to keep them fresh and exclusive. It's the only studio mix I'm putting together every year, that's why lots of the tracks are special edited to put them in the mix the way it fits best.
Make sure to enjoy the Mix while spending time outside in the sun, on vacation or whatever has the special summer feeling to you!

I'm a big a fan of the british Bicep boys for a long time. Their debut album is great and this piece of music has been released shortly before the album. In it's original version it's a decent breaks track that will let you float away. I tried to keep this feeling, but added some different 4/4 drum elements to make it a bit more playable in the club. Featuring Vocals by Valentina. Loved & played the original version for months, now a remix pack has been released. Also containing the Jan Driver Remix: Wow! He turned this song into a dark club banger with an glitch of acid sounds. At least i had the idea to bring some classic 909 sounds in (Hihat, Rimshot etc.). Made this little thang back in 2004 or 05 i think. Heard this track first on the legendary GU 013 Sasha in Ibiza Mix compilation and was kind of impressed and lucky enough to get one of those 12" copies. I kind of extended those lovely string part in the break. Nothing complex but worthy i think. Grab your copy!

Well, the deadline for Remix submission passed by and I did not even started the Project...months later its finished! Bek is already a well established player in the vibrant DJ-scene of Hamburg, Germany. In the last years he has steadily made a name for himself as a producer aswell and recently releasing quality tracks on Traum Schallplatten, What Happens, Ohral and Natura Viva.

Back in 2015 he won the Mixmag + ANTS Ibiza DJ competition with over 300 participating DJs. In order to this, he played at Ushuaia Ibiza for ANTS on September 19 alongside Andrea Oliva, Uner, Timo Maas, Los Suruba and Ben Pearce.
