The tracks here are from my audio blog  - my diary from South Africa. I am currently volunteering with the amazing Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust (HACT), a local NGO working in the townships of KwaZulu Natal. This region is at the epicentre of the world's HIV/AIDS pandemic, with more than 40%-50% infected in places. It has high poverty levels and many orphaned children. HACT enables people with HIV/AIDS to lead healthy lives. It makes a difference through HIV prevention, education, treatment, emotional support, and empowerment through income generation. Projects include: respite care, support groups, horticulture & craft enterprises, and life-skills education in schools. I am HACT's Marketing and Fundraising Officer - writing, media relations, marketing, fundraising, and sharing my skills with staff are some of my tasks.
