Founded by Da Luka and Jorgio Kioris, roku arrives in grand fashion with a much-anticipated single from Da Luka and Aman Anand. Hailing from Albania, Da Luka emerged from his country's electronic music landscape a decade ago. Whether operating in solo capacity or
alongside frequent production partner Jorgio Kioris, Da Luka's creative vision would summon the praise of progressive music tastemakers Cid Inc, Guy J, Eelke Kleijn, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick
Warren and more, in turn leading to releases via Droid9, Juicebox Music, Movement Recordings and WARPP. Meanwhile, Indian born, Singapore based artist Aman Anand has enjoyed similar success across his eleven-year career. With a cutting-edge style, Aman has become beloved within the progressive music spectrum, recording standout projects for Juicebox Music, Mango Alley and Sudbeat, while also earning play and support from the genre's elite guard in Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. Now, for roku's inaugural offering, Da Luka and Aman combine their extensive forces for the first time, presenting the much anticipated single 'Mythical Creatures', alongside remixes from Golan Zocher and Kamilo Sanclemente and Chris
Cargo.

The release concludes with Chris Cargo making his label debut with the second and final interpretation of 'Mythical Creatures'. The Irish artist was an integral part of the progressive house movement that happened in the late nineties. Perhaps best known for his productions
on Mara's Choo Choo label, label, Chris also appeared on Renaissance and Automatic Records.
Following a long absence Chris made a well-received return to the scene in 2017 and has since compiled an impressive discography, highlighted by releases via John OO Fleming's JOOF Recordings, Juicebox Music, Mango Alley and his own If You Wait imprint. Fresh off projects for Tash's Movement Recordings to end the year, Chris begins 2023 by putting a deeper, more atmospheric spin on 'Mythical Creatures'. Warm and inviting throughout; its re-shaped low end
provides a smooth anchor for balmy effects and heavenly sonics to work their magic. A blissful centrepiece sits at the heart of the journey, highlighted by creamy melodies, evolving atmospherics and bulbous bass swells; an emotive amalgamation of sound which perfectly sets the stage for a tasteful finale.

PREMIERE: Da Luka & Aman Anand - Mythical Creatures (Chris Cargo Remix) [ROKU]

Presenting their first ever artist album, Clubsonica Records welcomes Zalvador to the label with his debut LP ‘Emotions'. Hailing from Colombia, Zalvador emerged from his country's progressive music landscape in 2018. Noted for his poignant dance floor productions, Zalvador's craft shines through vividly, making each one of his creations an emotive experience. Currently calling New York home, it was a debut on Soundteller Records which foreshadowed what has been a five-year creative swell for the rising phenom. A string of well-received projects for Mango Alley, Plattenbank, Proton Music, Siona Records and The Soundgarden, have yielded play and support from Hernan Cattaneo, Miss Monique and Nick Warren. With a contribution to The Soundgarden's Winter Collection to begin the year, Zalvador now embarks on the biggest project of his career, making his much-anticipated Clubsonica debut with ‘Emotions'.

Comprised of seven distinctive and equally compelling creations, it is the infectious grooves and electric lines of ‘Anxiety' which set the tone for the album. Instantly seductive, its panoramic synth textures create a colourful canopy for muscular beats and mountainous basslines to ignite the dance floor. A well-crafted break sits at the heart of the journey, flowing through youthful arp fragments and phasing noise, before uniting for an exhilarating drop and powerfully hypnotic finale. Selection two ‘Elevation' finds Zalvador composing with a strong sense of space. With each sound being an event in a slowly expanding landscape, zooming out to reveal a world of scale in which depth and contrast coax perfectly with rhythm and melody. The Colombian flexes his free-thinking muscles across a memorable break, as pitch-shifting structures and hypnotizing effects take centerstage, eventually transferring energy into a suitably cosmic conclusion.

Continuing on a darker monochrome with ‘Fear', Zalvador diversifies his portfolio with a thought-provoking creation. The New York resident allows the listener to relish in the groove, as flashing percussive arrangements and striking effects provide a bridge into a therapeutic, arp-driven break and suitably unstated finale. Meanwhile, on ‘Love' Zalvador shifts his modus operandi into one of deeper grooves and poignant musicality. In lightning the mood while remaining fluid within the confines of the release, its fresh aesthetics and eager optimism perfectly set the stage for the peak hour qualities of ‘Pride'. Collapsing under its own gravity as momentum builds and pyrotechnic synths steal the air, eventually breaking into a hyperventilating helium rush of hazy harmonics, buzzing rhythmic structures and emotive chord changes.

The album's final stretch sees Zalvador furthering his pursuit of progressive music excellence with the fiery energy of ‘Shame'. Pitched somewhere comfortably between cosmic reverie and melodic bliss, its utopian style ecstasy proves once again that the most astute artists often find a way to the finish line, where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. While this looping hypnotism does not fail to command your attention, it also provides a segue in the collection's final act, the aptly titled ‘Hope'. Sure to be celebrated for his progressive prowess, Zalvador places the final piece in this seven-track audio travelogue, as hopeful melodies ring out into timeless suspension, while a gentle flurry of effects sweep their way across a bed of pulsating beats and rebounding rhythms.

Zalvador creates a fascinating sonic ecosystem over the course of 'Emotions', a striking seven track odyssey that looks into the mind of an artist who masterfully balances rich production with fire-starting spontaneity.

"An artist with a long-time association with the underground dance scene, Subconscious Tales continues to chart an impressive path. Now returning to Proton Music, he marks a full EP debut with "Magnectares".

A Latvian artist with global renown, Ivas Tilix has seen his reputation grow steadily through his Subconscious Tales soubriquet and a unique brand of music that captures "something truly dark, yet melodic, deep, yet powerful". Able to confront his craft from a very personal and constructive angle, Tilix has been able to produce a breadth of music that sees him bare his musical soul with extraordinary and unrivalled effect.

A regular on, Suffused Music, the Subconscious Tales debut on the Lithuanian imprint saw the four-track "Till It Begins" find its mark in August 2014 before May 2015's "Arris" took centre stage. Further work for such behemoths as Balkan Connection, Mistique Music and Rimoshee Traxx have continued to showcase Tilix's work with additional multiple appearances on the best-selling Visceral compilation series.

Making his Particles debut remixing East Café in June 2017, the sublime three-track "Twisted" EP followed the same month. A Proton Music debut saw Subconscious Tales remixing David Calo's "Chronomatic" in December 2017 and it is genuine honour to welcome him back to the label with the twin-track "Magnectares".

The title track is a strong free-flowing work that revels in glorious percussive flair with its rich groove and plethora of ambient and spot effects. Hitting its stride in the second movement, a bouncing bassline adds depth, weight and dancefloor prowess before a driving arpeggio creates a dynamic melodic denouement at the mid-point breakdown. Picking up the rhythmic foundation again in the third movement, bass, percussion and melody combine to striking effect in the second half.

"Arkaya" continues the Subconscious Tales penchant for deep and resonating rhythmic grooves as a contemplative opening then makes way for an effervescent and cadenced bassline. An array of motifs and sumptuous melodic lines are juxtaposed against the rhythmic elements to fine effect, coming fully to the fore at the breakdown. A sustained chord crescendo then leads the track into a deep an inspiring third movement full of imagination, guile and craft.

A very welcome addition to the Proton Music catalogues, Subconscious Tales provides a moment of class with his twin-track "Magnectares".
