Rather than mourn the death of DJ Rashad I wanted this to be a celebration of the life and legacy, to reflect the impact of such an influential and ground breaking artist that has forever changed electronic music and inspired artists all across the globe. Anyone making Juke, Footwork and/or 160 BPM adjacent music today has been affected by his music in some way, shape, or form, whether directly or indirectly no doubt.

Yet, this mix is not entirely Juke/Footwork, or even all DJ Rashad, but more so inspired by that IDGAF spirit - the very experimental nature of both his music and Juke as a whole in which you can also hear so many different influences from across genres. This mix itself being very much a multi genre mashup with unique tracks of unabashed creativity.

Bell Curve’s kaleidoscopic music pushes from the club out into the cosmos. As a co-founder of New York label and promoter Worst Behavior, she has fast become a pillar of the city’s underground music community, championing future-seeking sounds from the ever-expanding ecosphere of soundsystem culture and bass music. Her own productions and DJ sets draw from an equally eclectic pool of sonics, reconfiguring familiar club sounds into tracks that defiantly evade easy categorisation. Following collaborations with Deep Medi / Young Echo MC Rider Shafique and critical acclaim from the likes of DJ Mag and Resident Advisor, new EP Obelisk for Berlin’s SSPB provides a daring evolution of Bell Curve’s soundworld, channeling the bristling intensity of her previous work into a more expansive headspace. Alongside six mesmerising new tracks from Bell Curve, the EP features a remix from Hessle Audio rising star Toumba.

With the successful foundation of their event, Chop Shop, they have welcomed L Major, Coco Bryce and Borai to the booth, where they have provided well-received support. They debuted in February on 199 with their single 'Made In', and take control here for an hour of signature hard-hitting drums and deep slimy bass.
