One In A Million is done in a style of music called Swamp Rock. Swamp rock is a term coined in the 1960s to describe a style of Southern rock music that fused elements of blues, country, and rock and roll. The genre has its roots in the music of the early 20th century, when blues, country, and rock and roll were all beginning to take shape. The term “swamp rock” was popularized by southern rock band CCR, whose sound was heavily influenced by the swampy environment of their hometown in El Cerrito, California.
