“On my last trip to India, as a woodwind instrument maker, I decided to take a restored ebony transverse flute and a Bb clarinet with me to musically test some of the unusual acoustic places there. After an echo valley in the mountains of Mahabaleshwar and sound recordings at the Agha Khan Palace in Pune, the Taj Mahal came to mind. No sooner said than done, I was on my way to Agra. There it turned out that the officials who managed the old tomb of a great love were so corrupt that they demanded thousands of US thalers from me, which of course I did not have. So I decided to try the recording undercover on my own. The day before the full moon - my first attempt: I stormed off to the opening at 6 a.m., when the snow-white marble building was still dreamily lying in front of me in the silver moonlight. The first obstacle was the shoe baba. I should definitely give him my sandals for a small fee. On increasingly wetter morning dew socks, increasingly annoyed, I hurried up the last few steps - when the foot part of my flute tumbled out of my trouser pocket onto the marble tiles with a bright, metallic sound. I knew immediately: that was it. The fragile silver mechanism cannot withstand such a thing unscathed! Back at the nearby hotel, I had to get tools and spend the following day making emergency repairs. The following morning was finally successful: A large full moon was still shining in the sky when I was finally able to play the tone sequences with inner peace and relaxation, from which I am still unable to say today where they may have come from........" - Wuddwinds, 2018

Die Melodic Rock Legende ROKO wurde 1990 von dem ehemaligen JOJO Frontmann Roko Kohlmeyer gegründet. Das Debut Album „Roko“ wurde von Star-Produzent BOB MARLETTE produziert (verantwortlich für den Sound von Bands und Musikern wie AIRBOURNE, BLACK SABBATH, ALICE COOPER, MARILYN MANSON, SHINEDOWN oder GLENN HUGHES). Es enthält eine Cover Version des JEFFERSON STARSHIP Klassikers „Jane“.

With their music videos being played on MTV, massive radio airplay and excessive touring throughout Europe with ALICE COOPER, MAGNUM or GUN Roko became famous in the 90´s. Today the band´s recordings are still traded as must have collectibles by Hard Rock fans worldwide, mainly because of their first two albums “Roko” and “Open Invitation”. Die-hard-collectors sometimes even pay about 80 or 100 euros for their cd albums on the second hand market nowadays. With the complete discography of Roko now being available as digital download, fans of GUNS´N´ROSES, MÖTLEY CRÜE or DEF LEPPARD surely get something very special to add to their digital music crates.

Melodic rockers ROKO were founded in 1990 by former JOJO man Roko Kohlmeyer. The debut album “Roko” was produced by star producer BOB MARLETTE (AIRBOURNE, BLACK SABBATH, ALICE COOPER, MARILYN MANSON, SHINEDOWN, GLENN HUGHES). It includes a cover version of JEFFERSON STARSHIP's classic 'Jane'.

Das von einem fulminanten Instrumental eingeleitete vierte Album von
W.Ambros präsentiert seinen Schöpfer als bodenständigen und gereiften
Künstler. Die gewohnt tiefsinnigen Texte werden getragen von einzigartigen
Melodien. Tolle Lieder wie „Minderheit“ oder „De Höld´n san scho
alle tot“ sind noch heute hoch aktuell. Und es ist gerade diese gewisse
Schwere, die sich durch dieses Album zieht, die „Hoffnungslos“ so außergewöhnlich,
so interessant macht.
Zusätzlich zu den Original Albumtracks bietet diese Remastered Deluxe
Edition die ebenfalls im Jahr 1977 erschienene Single „Die Blume
aus dem Gemeindebau“ und deren B-Seite „Denk amoi“. Und als ganz
besonderen Schmanckerl für alle Fans gibt es oben drauf drei bisher
unveröffentlichte und lange verloren geglaubte Demo-Aufnahmen aus
den Bellaphon Archiven, sowie zwei TV Playbacks für alle Karaoke
Fanatiker.
