After an eventful year of touring throughout their native Australia – including runs with labelmates MONO and like- minded pioneers Tortoise – and featuring alongside the work of artist David Hockney at the National Gallery of Victoria, post-everything quintet Tangents return with another album, and another stylistic detour. New Bodies continues Tangents’ rummage through countless varieties of electronics, rock, dub, noise, and free improv jazz that defines the group’s acclaimed aesthetic. A spacious, plucked cello gives way to a minimalist breakbeat tableau resting over rhythmic prepared piano; a staid electronic groove is gradually absorbed into washes of frenzied improv; staccato synths are woven into tumbling avant-rock; and shimmering free drums phase over static loops of piano, guitar and cello. To quote FACT Magazine, “The quintet are so comfortable working with jazz, folk music, post-rock and electronic music that it comfortably hangs in a space between them all.” On New Bodies, that description rings more intuitive and authentic than ever.

mouse on the keys are well-known for blurring genres and their forthcoming release 'tres' is no exception, traversing dark and avant-garde electronica, minimalist neo-classical, whilst also continuing to develop on their math-rock tendencies with rapid-fire time signature changes, angular rhythms and melodic yet frenetic piano work.

When Everything Was Mine

Bellchild was brought into the world by three musicians in the Rhine and Ruhr area. After a long journey of exposing the acoustic-synthetic soundscapes, well sheltered inside concrete walls, its now time to get out.

The first proof of live was set with the composition „Mojo“, paired with its music video. The second single, „Focus Pocus“, followed just in time to the beginning of 2017. This tracks related video clip brought a first impression of the movers and shakers behind the project.
The music of Bellchild is influenced by artists like Radiohead, Son Lux and Björk.
After the single release of „Embrace“, the band took the chance to perform their music live on festivals like Open Source, C/O Pop and Reeperbahn Festival for the first time.
The debut album is in process and will be released soon.
