This is a new Vangelis cover created by me. Original music was composed in 1976 for the conceptual album Albedo 0.39 about space. It causes so good feelings to listen that was included in soundtrack of the Cosmos series by Carl Sagan. Since then, it became a classic that only some persons just don't know. I hope you like my version!

original music -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vx09Iq1h284  Loreena McKennitt's literate and sometimes experimental focus on Celtic-tinged traditional and original material, coupled with her haunting harp playing, has made her Canada's national chanteuse and new age troubadour since she broke through to prominence in the mid-'80s. The daughter of a nurse mother and a livestock-trading father, McKennitt studied classical piano and voice and learned to dance in the highland style as a youngster. Her love of traditional music was strengthened in the folk clubs of Winnipeg, which she frequented during the brief period she studied veterinary science at the University of Manitoba. Relocating to Stratford, Ontario, she continued to sharpen her skills as a composer and performer. In 1981, she auditioned for a role in the city's Stratford Festival of Canada. Although she did not get the role, she remained inspired. After reading Diane Sward Rapaport's book How to Make and Sell Your Own Recording, she formed her own label, Quinlan Road.

My take on parts from Tubular Bells, composed by Mike Oldfield when he was about 15 years old and released in 1973. A single track without any guitar but still I hope to somehow respect the original feel.

This was the record that launched Richard Branson's Virgin empire, and the keyboard introduction was used as a soundtrack to The Exorcist movie in 1973. Mike Oldfield also played some segments during the opening ceremony of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.

The instrument is a Nord Stage 2 using a sampled Bösendorfer grand piano, and an emulated Farfisa organ with phaser.
