Silver Lining

Everyone has a story--mine continues to take some unusual twists and turns.  You are all capable of having a warrior spirit.  Deep inside your heart, there lies a dormant fighter.  Embrace your setbacks and use them as motivation to accomplish your greatest goals.

On a personal note, this song chronicles my struggle with depression and anxiety while finding success in a difficult industry.  Enjoy.

"you were sitting on my bed playing my guitar, i was accompanying you on the piano on the other side of the room.  you played some progression and i'm like "that's so beautiful, i'm gonna take the first chord and modify the rest, okay now listen to this" and i came up with these four chords that would later make this song.  you were like "oh yeah that's nice, you're gonna make something great out of that".  and you had no idea i still loved you; after everything that happened, after our whole history, after over three years.  i knew you loved her when i was seventeen and stupid, i know you'll always love her in the same way that i'll always love you.  maybe not completely, maybe not blatantly, but always."
