OUT NOW!!!!  Marking his DEBUT release... TABU comes in hard with some skillful production work! A nice solid remix of Slipmatt & JDS's 'HIGHER LOVE'! This LA based DJ/Producer, knows the game and knows it well... wrapping percussion,  nasty drum work / transitions and an infectious synthed out basslines... he presents his skills well on this debut single release on Bell Ringer Records.  Expect some serious jungle and drum n bass business from this guy, on ALL spectrums. If anyone knows diversity... its TABU!

-Born in St. Croix, Virgin Islands and raised in the US, Tabu is one of Los Angeles’s true veteran drum & bass artists. Since finding his musical home in electronic dance music in 1995, he’s worked vigorously with other local artists in club promotions, international artist bookings, design projects under “Tabu by Design”, and original production.

With regular mix compilations under his belt spanning his 15 years as a DJ, Tabu has continually broken through the sub-genrefication of jungle/drum & bass with amazingly diverse sets. Whether its old school classics, upfront dancefloor, or the most cutting-edge drum & bass, his live sets are nothing short of amazing. Spanning a spectrum of drum & bass with clean mixing, vicious blends, and an occasional touch of b-boy scratching, he ensures his audience is thoroughly satisfied. A dedicated junglist who’s played at most every prominent drum & bass night in LA from the beloved “CLUB MUSE” to “RESPECT” and ”THERAPY SESSIONS-LA”, he is well known, respected, and loved amongst his peers.

Called one of LA’s best kept secrets for many years, Tabu is having an impact on all waves of drum & bass fans from new to seasoned following the release of his recent all vinyl promotional mix recorded live on DNBTV.com’s Bass Dynasty Crew Radio. Bell Ringer records -Digital-, was founded back in 2010. It was a concept formulated by BLANG, Dj/producer and label owner, who realized the lack of recognition towards stateside artists in the underground electronic music scene. BLANG wanted to open up an avenue, not only for his own material to be released but for other stateside artists looking to get their tracks heard internationally, through a labels distribution. So it became only natural for the labels mission to represent stateside artists, nationally: to push drum and bass/ jungle and dubstep music to further expose each artist and the genres the label represented. The name ‘Bell Ringer’, musically speaking, stands for that feeling you may get in your eardrums when you’ve been listening to heavy bass-fueled music all night, at a live show and/or club event.

Knowing that, in today’s world, drum n bass, jungle and dubstep continue to evolve and grow… ‘We’ will as well! So you’ll be hearing a bit of every style these genre’s represent. We here at Bell Ringer Records don’t limit ourselves to a certain sound or what have you… its all about supporting & growing with, NOT against, the scene as a whole; and furthermore, brockin out to those sounds WE all love so much… LET IT RING!!!
