Bellwether Hall is a new DC band happily keeping old-fashioned music alive and well. Members Adam Weber, Brian Farrow, Erica Horowitz, and Laura Schwartz get their kicks mixing Americana elements of bluegrass, folk, country, soul, and the blues. 

Farrow keeps time with bouncing bass lines and the occasional burst of slapping acrobatics. Schwartz delivers sweetly on the violin and joins Horowitz to break out the fine-tuned harmonies from their a capella days. Horowitz also makes the piano keys dance while Weber rounds out the group with a lively call and a sturdy rhythm guitar.

Initially united through a haphazard combination of Craigslist, Cornell University, and BloomBars - DC’s premier non-profit community arts space - Bellwether Hall is excited to see what warm weather and long days have in store for their fresh take on the tried and true.
