"Stage Presence" is a vintage unreleased single from North Carolina rhyme-vet Omniscence. The song was recorded in 1996 shortly after the recording of what was to be his major label debut album, "The Raw Factor". Featuring an appearance from fellow NC spitter Toz Torcha (then of local crew The Vandalz) it's a vintage head-nodding 90's Hip-Hop track. The single is produced by Fanatic, who also produced all-but-one track of "The Raw Factor".

Recalling the track Omniscence said "it was originally intended as a B-Side for a future single from the album. At the intro you can hear me describing the scene at DJ Clark Kent's 1994 MC Battle for World Supremacy in New York City which I entered. The guy I was up against was named the winner, but the crowd wanted a rematch because many felt I won."

Though releasing two singles from the album (earning him a Hip-Hop quotable in The Source Magazine) label politics caused "The Raw Factor" to be shelved. This prompted the emcee to take a break from the game (a break which lasted decades). With the release of "Stage Presence", Below System Records is announcing the reissue of "The Raw Factor" on digital stores this spring (with additional unreleased tracks from the same period) as well as its first ever vinyl edition to drop this summer. The double LP edition will be available in purple and black vinyl colors.

While both emcees may ingest copious amounts of herb, it apparently has little to no effect on their non-stop work ethic. For example Chuuwee, although just hitting the age of 25, already has a discography of over twenty albums and mixtapes to his name. Raised in Sacramento, CA the “South Sac Mack” had the benefit of a home studio as a child as his Mother was studying music production. In his teens Chuuwee (born Dionte Hunter) was already destroying local poetry slams with his rhymes.

The fruit of this constant labor includes U.S. shows alongside such influences as Mistah Fab, Rakim and Rhymefest. He also recently completed a European tour with JR & PH7.

Los Angeles based Trizz (born Arthur Lea III) compliments his partner well. Picking up the microphone at the age of 9, he has developed his own voice that reflects both his California DNA as well as an interest in the macabre. Among his successful early works was his album Case 17 (so named for the 17 murders tied to serial killer, Jeffrey Dahmer).

Now at 24 years old, Trizz lyrical skills earned him a place on horrorcore legend, Brotha Lynch Hung’s, Madesicc Muzicc label. This includes earning two writing credits on Brotha Lynch Hung’s seventh studio album Mannibalector (2013) and appearing on the Independent Powerhouse Tour”, alongside Tech N9ne, Rittz and Kutt Calhoun.

Gearing up for the release of “AmeriKKa’s Most Blunted 2” the duo whetted fan’s appetites with the release of a free EP titled “The Smoke Out”, which dropped in Mid-February. The 3 songs on this EP are available on the CD version as bonus tracks.

Detroit MC Phat Kat drops an unreleased track produced by J Dilla and featuring La Peace, to announce the reissue of his 2007 "Carte Blanche" album.

Phat Kat says: "We decided to re-release the "Carte Blanche" album because it was put out right before the internet blew up, so it never really got to a lot of listeners. And it was a really good project that slipped through the cracks. It came together during the time me and Dilla were signed to Payday Records, but when the label folded we never got a chance to record a full album. We recorded "It Don’t Get No Liver Than This" for the 1st Down album but the label folded and it didn’t come out."

Originally released in 2007, Phat Kat’s 2nd studio album “Carte Blanche” is getting a re-release on July 27th via Below System Records. The deluxe edition will includes 2 new bonus tracks both produced by J Dilla.

From Hell’s Roof to the Rhine Valley, Rochester, NY emcee Eto (formerly known as Lil’ Eto) and German-Spanish producer Superior have joined forces! The resulting full-length collaboration, “Long Story Short” is set to drop via Below System Records (Digital & CD) on April 12th (with vinyl coming courtesy of Tuff Kong Records).

As evidenced by first single “Fortune” and accompanying video, Eto’s penchant for balancing the pain of the street and the progression of the hustle is a perfect foil for Superior’s cinematic and somber beat-scapes.

Speaking on the collaboration, Superior said “My previous releases were rooted in my love of boom-bap. However, when I linked up with Eto, I started producing specifically with him in mind and keeping it more atmospheric in keeping with the coldness of his environment and narratives.” With a gripping chemistry throughout the only guest spots on the project is from Skyzoo and Toronto rhyme-counterpart, Daniel Son.

Of course Eto has been releasing audio masterpieces at a dizzying rate in the past several months. These include his new full-length collaboration with DJ Muggs (Cypress Hill) entitled “Hell’s Roof” (which is a nickname for his hometown which has one of the highest crime rates in the country) and recent surprise EP, “Heather Grey” with long-time production collaborator VDon (Dark Lo, Conway The Machine) and emcee Willie The Kid. Eto also was featured on one of the most celebrated albums for 2018 Westside Gunn’s, “Hitler Wears Hermes 6” (“John Bena” produced by DJ Muggs) As a producer, Eto also recently laced tracks for Benny The Butcher, 38 Spesh and Jamal Gasol.

Constantly adapting his work as a producer, Superior's catalogue for Below System Records includes his 2017 production album, “The Journey”, which included appearances from Blu, Edo. G, Reks, Termanology and Lil Fame among others.

"THE (Hawaiian Button Up)" is the first single taken from iMAGiNARY OTHER's upcoming album titled "Love, Beaches & Planes". The Sacramento producer teamed up with another Sac native Chuuwee for the song.

"The sound of this track is supposed to take you on trip to the 60's in remembrance of the Pan American World Airways and what the beaches were like in that time, as well as the fashion. I fell in love with lounge music of that era and knew I needed to update it a little bit so when I made the beat in front of my Christmas tree in 2017, I could only hear Chuuwee over it, doing what he does best" iMAGiNARY OTHER says.

"Love, Beaches & Planes" will take you on a trip with the vibes and sounds of the 60's and 70's. Swimming through a range of genres such as House, Lo-Fi, Lounge, Bossa Nova and ofcourse Hip Hop. Following up from his collaborative project "The Tip Of A Tab" with Chuuwee under their group name iMAGiNARY FRiENDS, this will be OTHER's first instrumental album with additions from a few Sacramento emcees.

Los Angeles rappers Self Provoked and Trizz join forces to drop "Timescape" produced by Nuglife. This is their first official collaboration even though they met a few years ago. The rapper duo add; "One day at a time we developed the perspectives we speak about in the song, an underground development. Timescaping our days and by that we mean not conforming to the present day as ultimate reality. We're aware of the possibilities we can tap into."

“Leaders of the Midwest” is a song by Chicago rapper Dyzzi from DivSel of his upcoming EP “I’m So… Vol. 1”. Produced by MarvyMarv, the single includes verses by (in order of appearance) KReal from DivSel, Chaz from DivSel, Eli $tones, Marques, ameriKKKen and lastly Dyzzi from DivSel.

“Marv constantly sends me beats and this beat in particular was just so reminiscent of my original sound being old school boom bap with a hard head knock feel” Dyzzi adds. “I spent hours trying to differentiate where I could place a chorus and verse in the song but just came to conclusion that this song will be verse to verse to have that cypher type of feel.” I named the song “Leaders of the Midwest” because every artist included in the song resides and is from the region.

The artwork was inspired by Pro Era’s 2012 mixtape cover “PEEP: The aPROcalypse”. Dyzzi continues “I took inspiration from it seeing as how I started DivSel strictly because of Joey Bada$$ and the Pro Era collective, and also considering we’re all fans of Joey Bada$$.”

Dyzzi’s EP “I’m So… Vol. 1” entirely produced by MarvyMarv will be released in the summer of 2020.
