MY LORD, THIS WAS ONE OF THE FUNNEST SETS I'VE PLAYED IN A LOOOOONG TIME!! As SOON as I had the chance to play the BIG BWAD Ashton Court Mansion for a 2hr Beltaz takeover, I KNEW EXACTLY WHO I WANTED TO GO TOE TO TOE WITH - Everyone's favourite dungaree wielding bearded BADBWOI BENKINS!!🌛⚡🔥🌬

The set is absolutely RAMMED full of classic tracks from myself and benny BWOI - bloody 'eck the whole thing is 2 hours so we really go on a JOOOUUURNEY!! I'll be honest, there's 1 or 2 oopsies - but lets face it when isn't there?!?! I'm not a professional DJ, just a professional fan 😍😘😍

I NEEEEEDED to sit down and record a chat between us, cos she's JUST GOSH DARN ONE OF THE SICKEST AND COOLEST AND MOST INTERESTINGEST PEOPLE I KNOW, and goodness me was it SICK!!! Sharpson is an Irish independent Producer / DJ and the label boss of Choki Biki Records. The London based producer's sound is directly influenced by his upbringing on 90’s UK Rave music ranging from Breakbeat, Electro, Garage, Trance, Techno, Jungle and Drum & Bass. 

As a DJ, Sharpson has garnered a name for himself as a DJ through his unique style of DJing with the decks backwards.  His DJ sets on Youtube have accumulated hundreds of thousands of views due to his unique style of playing with the decks backwards and inviting members of the audience to DJ! His reputation as a skilled selector and entertainer, genre hopping and dropping obscure classic trance anthems in his set, has seen Sharpson perform all over Europe, The UK and Canada.

As a producer, Sharpson makes an array of electronic music under several monikers. His ‘Sharpson’ production’s stand out with his signature style of integrating ‘Dublin mannerisms’ into his club tracks, courtesy of local hip-hop Irish acts such as Deborah De Luca, Four Tet, Ed Solo and Riva Starr.

When not producing, Sharpson works as a lecturer in North London, indoctrinating young minds into Junglists one day at a time.

Journey to planet Red is a mix that I made at a turning point in my life where not only my tastes in music were expanding but also was a period of personal growth coming from the breakdown of old aspects of my life giving place for new things to be created. This mix is one to listen to in silent darkness which is the way that it was made in to be listened to to lose yourself and go into a higher space. It is called Journey to planet Red due to my spiritual linearities going straight towards the red planet (Aries in mars).
