“When I made this track I was inspired by a couple of movies I had seen the week before. I wanted to include some kind of organic instruments infused with some electronic elements, and that’s how the intro came about, after that the chorus pretty much write itself”

“My track ‘Leap’ actually started as a sound design project in massive. The plucky bassline was the result of it, as I started playing around with the bass, the melody and the chords came along naturally. This track is quite different from my other projects which really made it more fun to work on. My main goals for this project was to not use any sounds that I’ve used in the past. This is a really good practise technique for me as it encourages you to experiment with new sounds”

All beautiful things come to an end. It’s time for Sjaaf to go to bed.

After having received wonderful support from @sanholobeats, his innovative label @bitbirdofficial and so many other great artists with a unique vision, I decided I’m putting @sjaafmusic to sleep. I’ve been discovering a lot, kinda outgrew - not in a denigrating way - the EDM/Future Bass scene and want to head in a new direction.

Today I release my final EP that marks the end of Sjaaf, on the fresh Belgian label Crown Collective. 5 tracks, featuring collaborations with three great vocalists.
