belvar.io is a digital DJ and electronic dance music producer.  As a DJ, he mainly spins European trance, progressive house, tech house, and electro.  He is an innovator in the use of Ableton's Live software for digital DJing, and is the creator of the belvar.io Smart Mixer concept for Live.

belvar.io holds a Bachelor of Arts in Electronic Music, and he created and taught the original Electronic Music Production curriculum at Washington DC's Omega Studios - his students included renowned EDM producer BT and members of the seminal Go-Go band Trouble Funk, among others.

He started DJing progressive house in the 1990's on turntables and vinyl records, but discovered the joys of so-called "laptop-ism" and has never looked back.  The digital domain provides much greater creative latitude and flexibility, not to mention portability.

His current home base is in Amsterdam, the epicenter of trance.
