The more a product is RE-USED, the better, right? We invited Ouz, owner and co-founder of GO-Exhibitions, a stand building company from Hanover, Germany. In today's episode we want to rethink. Therefore we invited Pauline Teyssedre, strategy & sustainable director at Galis. We talked about the sustainable role of an agency in the event sector, the change of mind by the customer and the ISO20121 standards. Let's dive in!

EPISODE 2 - RETHINK

The Australian company Harry the Hirer went from a small, family run business setting up marquees to a national supply company that has everything you need to make your next event extraordinary. They think big and do whatever they can to mitigate their environmental footprint by implementing greener and more sustainable ways of working to progress the industry in a measured and responsible way. 

Bernard Stephens, general manager of Harry the Hirer, joins us today to tell us more about their key initiatives in sustainability, recycling and recyclability. We get some more insight into the Australian market and how they are doing, what their take on sustainability is.

EPISODE 3 - RECYCLING & RECYCLABILITY

No Limits Design is a Panamanian company known for designing exhibitions and was founded in the 1990s. The Latin American company focuses on environmental design through global partnerships and has branches in Guatemala, El Salvador and the Dominican Republic.

David Dolum is CEO and designer of No Limits Design Group. He has more than 30 years of experience in innovations and projects in the event sector. He is a pioneer in the implementation of sustainability. Discover his insights.

EPISODE 4 - REDUCE ON TRANSPORT

In the previous issues of the ProjectC! we always discussed sustainability of products or transport, but of course we cannot forget the human aspect in this. We talked to Lori Maes, inspirer of The Value Factory - including the activities Camp2Camp and Talents for Events.

Lori started her career as sustainability manager at Tomorrowland, but soon concluded that she wanted to dedicate herself even more to people side of events and the unleashing of talents in every section of society.. EPISODE 5 - BUILD A SUSTAINABLE RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR PARTNERS

Every three months we invite one inspiring person with a big heart for sustainability to come and talk about what they do to make a long lasting difference, mostly in the events sector.

The past 5 episodes were truly inspiring conversations all pointing out a different side of the sustainable changes that you are making. We know you are totally in on sustainability and want to communicate this to the outside world. Therefore we invited Wim Vermeulen, author, documentary maker and partner of BUBKA, a sustainable communication agency. His mission is to use the power of communication to change the norms.

EPISODE 6 - CREDIBILITY & THE RELEVANCE OF SUSTAINABLE COMMUNICATION

For episode 7, we invited Jan Tyvaert, one of the three founders of driearchitecten, a research-oriented design agency that seeks to add meaningful value to society in every assignment.

Why an architect in our podcast? Well, at beMatrix, we are in the process of converting our production buildings. We have demolished part of our factory to build a new and more sustainable factory on the same site.

We thoroughly examined the old materials and determined that we can reuse some parts in our new building. We call this a circular project.
