"War was one of those tracks that seemingly wrote itself. I believe I finished the track within a week or so of starting it, which for me is pretty rare. It started out as a sound design session as I looking to make some dance floor basses, but soon enough turned into something much more cinematic and epic! I felt like I was writing a score for an intense battle, which made me give the track its title." - Omen

We present Mumbai-based music producer Brij Dalvi aka brijplease and his brand-new compilation titled 'emergence', featuring music from some of the most exciting Indian artists.

Helping to bridge platform and artists ‘I am (1AM)’ by Insowmya opens the gates for a flood of releases all part of Brij’s ‘Emergence’ vision. 

Starting with Insowmya, London based, Indian artists creates a genre defying style which takes influence guided by her eclectic tastes. 
Insowmya’s composition with 4NC¥ sees a Jersey arranged, garage laced, pop dance ready track that’s sure to make you stand on guard for what’s to come.


About Insowmya
Insowmya, a portmanteau of insomnia and her first name Sowmya, is an Indian artist currently residing in London. Her style is a result of her experiments with drum&bass, trap, hip-hop, garage, lo-fi, break core and various other styles that don't fall into any particular genre.
She's influenced largely by artists like Aphex Twin, Flume, Eprom, Sam Gellaitry, Mr. Carmack, Imanu and Buunshin to name a few. Insowmya incorporates various elements from her eclectic taste in music into her own compositions. These experiments have resulted in a unique approach
to producing that isn't constrained to one particular genre. She aspires to work on various other genres and inspire people to look deeper into different styles of music.

Blade is celebrated for his hard-hitting amen rollers and Jazz & Soul-infused beats that captivate listeners. For the latest chapter in the Dispatch Dubplate series, he showcases his talent for blending these contrasting influences with a deep appreciation for the heritage sounds of jungle Drum & Bass.

Staying true to the Dispatch Dubplate ethos, this release revolves around another sought-after dubplate. 'Machete' takes center stage, a track that made waves during Ant TC1’s post-COVID US tour with Doc Scott. The early Vedas master version hit hard with its AWOL-era vibes, raw, lashy amen energy, and 170bpm+ tempo that packed out dancefloors.

The EP also features five more tracks where Blade digs deep to deliver a fitting tribute to the world of modern breakbeat.
