Mary's Motet

A sketch/concept of a musical experience I hope to expand on in the future.
Wisdom and truth emerge into the conscious from chaos and subconscious.

“Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again. Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, You must be born again. The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit." - John 3:3-8

Yemaya

Part of the soundtrack for Quintessence, an indy game created by some friends at Northwestern.

"You are an A.I, newly created in a top-secret lab. You have the ability to steal and transfer the properties of others. Unsure of the extent of your abilities, or your role in the world, you steal the body and memories of your creator. Now the entire lab is out to hunt you as you struggle to make it out of the lab alive."

This first track is mechanical and techno-influenced but, as the narrative progresses and the protagonist is increasingly humanized, the second, classically influenced, track is introduced. There were plans to blend the two, and to mix master, and record real instruments, but we were all still in school and had very little time to devote to the project.

Quintessence - The Lab

Part of the soundtrack for Quintessence, an indy game created by some friends at Northwestern. This one was written in collaboration with Tom Levy, who did most of the orchestration.
