Kapotcast is back with an excellent 2 hour(!) megamix from Dutch deejay Borax!

Many of you probably aren't familiar with this name, since he actually never played on any events in all these years. But I've known him for more than 20 years and he makes (really) excellent megamixes from time to time, which he posts on his YouTube channel. Or as he would describe himself: "Just a tall guy with a noisy hobby". I really thought he should do a Kapotcast mix as well!

THE RELIC is man of many identities.
Cubic Nomad, Dark Earth, E-MP-Hasis, Ecister, Hidden Rooms, I-mpact, Maui Pentocosto, Nightshade, The 7th Sign, Zanthrax... to name a few.

Maurice Pinkster started producing slow hardcore in the 90s. He was making slowcore before it was called downtempo. As mentioned earlier, he is a man of many faces; techno, dark electronic, dirty acidlines... Anything raw and energetic: you name it, he produces or spins it!

In this recording, we take you back to the night before Ascension.

Welcome to Kapotcast Episode 21. As we hinted last week on our socials; we have a special tribute to a fallen comrade in store.

Originally, Yuri van Vlijmen from Mindustries was supposed to do this month's Kapotcast mix. Tragically, as most of you know, he passed away last June, leaving a void both in our hearts and in the darker regions of the hardcore techno scene. Therefore, it couldn't be more fitting to dedicate this edition to filling some of that void with the very essence of his legacy.

Immerse yourself in this tribute (mega)mix by Symp.tom's label chief, Mental Wreckage. This is more than just a playlist - it's a showcase & time capsule of Yuri's impressive music career, featuring all of his released tracks, collaborations, and remixes (both solo and with Nils, his Mindustries partner in crime). This was the first date of my Asian/Australian tour and the first time in China. 
It was hard to know in advance what to play especially being programmed after Dax J, so i didn't go full-on hardcore from the start, obviously.

Here is a little bit about Matt Green:

Matt Green is a name synonymous to the Corrupt label. Strength and intensity are just a couple of words describing the waves that bleed from Matt Greens' live-sets.

Since 1998 Matt Green manages his own label, Corrupt Records. A name now closely linked to the many substyles of hardcore. Ranging from breakbeat (the true origin of breakcore) to speedcore, every Corrupt beat was treated with distortion and an overdose of energy. Next to the long list of Corrupt releases, Matt also had the chance to release several guest EPs on labels like Epileptik and Hong Kong Violence. By the dawn of 2008 Matt decided to make a change and bring Corrupt to an end. Filling the gap with Corrupt Redux - the official sequel to Corrupt exploring the slower tempo, but harsher sounds - Matt is ready for the next move!
