Hyey, endlich gibt's Nummero 4 von unserem Podcast. Dieses Mal mit @kueksen, der uns passend zum ersten Schnee 'ne wärmende Packung Downtempo vor'n (Youtube-)Kamin legt. Auf einen gemütlichen Sonntag! 



1. Hast du eine Morgenroutine, und wenn ja, wie sieht diese aus?

Eigentlich nur eine mit Liebe gemachte Bialetti aufsetzen, freudig aufs Brodeln warten, und dann mindestens ne halbe Stunde Zeit fürs Trinken lassen. Häufig dazu dann mit nem Backgammon mit meiner Herzensdame.

2. Hast du ein musikalisches guilty-pleasure? 
Definitiv Call Me Maybe von Carly Rae Jepsen. Catched mich jedes mal wieder!

3. In welchem Genre warst du als Teenie zuhause? 
Also zum Skaten wars immer sehr ‚flowender‘ Ami-Rap, ansonsten auch viel 80s Rock und Indie.

“Recreation” comes from the Latin word, “recreare” which means “to refresh, restore, make anew, revive, invigorate.” This is much different from mere fun or leisure activities. Recreation in its purest sense is meant to renew one’s spirit. To recharge your batteries, remake yourself better, to refresh and revitalize yourself. 

The root word “recreation” as it appears in Old French and Latin is also used in reference to the “curing of a person” and “recovery from illness.” Recreational activities are not just done for fun, but to cure oneself. To become refreshed, renewed, and full of life.

Recreation is an emotional condition within an individual human being that flows from a feeling of well-being and self-satisfaction. It is characterized by feelings of mastery, achievement, exhilaration, acceptance, success, personal worth, and pleasure. It reinforces a positive self-image. Recreation is a response to aesthetic experience, achievement of personal goals, or positive feedback from others. It is independent of activity, leisure, or social acceptance

Recognizing recreation’s power for good has set the stage for us to consider four ways we can more intentionally create and protect recreation. 

First, to make recreation, play, or family fun a priority, we have to believe it matters as much or more than whatever else we may choose to do with our “free time.” Simply put, we need to make it a priority and protect time for it. If we believe it matters, we will do it. 

Second, we can create space and time for recreation by minimizing distractions from media and technology. Often they fill time that could be used for more meaningful interactions. 

Third, by thinking of recreation not only as activity but also as a state of mind allows us to seek and value the rejuvenating power of brief moments of freely chosen experiences. 

Fourth, a simplified life allows more opportunities to be intentional with our time to pursue things that matter most.

For this chapter, I took my time to absorb new musical influences and to blend different styles of electronic music. Despite the varying grooves and tempos, there is still a feeling that I want L.S. in Wonderland to create.. a sense of warmth and inner peace.

He is a part of the collective MIMIK(@mimik-label). The aim of this energetic crew is to bring people together with communication, creativity and enhance the expression of each and everyone. 2 Years ago he started producing so-called "Slow Tech" & searching for his own signature. Since about a year he is into DJing too, enjoying to share sound which inspires him with other people. This set is a tribute to that passion and a step in the direction to integrate other genres and soundscapes in his stories...

Ben Pavlidis is a songwriter, producer, and also known as the frontman of the Berlin band Ohrbooten. On his musical path he developed a deep passion for bass music and in his DJ-Sets, he is defiantly paying homage to the beloved bass frequency . The half Greek half German grew up in west berlin and the city has always fed him with an eclectic mix of urban ,world, and electronic music. The essence of all his genre is a super danceable mix of global bass music
