The compilation features 5 new remixes of Dustin Zahn’s back catalog along with two new versions of Truncate’s cult classic, “Pad Mode.” It all caps off with a 31 minute odyssey from Minilogue that is finally available again for the first time in years.

After a stellar debut release in 2023, vinyl-only label Dust in Grooves, sees its anticipated second EP Reclaim, showcasing one of Dublin’s gleaming underground talents Mode_1. Establishing DIG as a progressive sonic platform, founder Olivia Mendez is also curating a series of dynamic augmented reality covers for each EP. Adding more layers into the sound experience of the Reclaim vinyl is motion designer and visual artist from Los Angeles Omer Avarkan.

Mode_1’s dedication to uncovering layers of tough but rhythmic grooves, both as a DJ and a producer, has led him to make a mark on legendary techno imprints such as Knotweed, FiedelTwo, Truncate and Naked Lunch. Staying true to his advancing, dynamic sound laid with dexterous technique, Robert Kavanagh delivers a collection of four ominous tracks, pulsating with incandescent pads and pacey drums.

The EP opens with the relentless and driving Sigma, setting the tone for a swiftly moving ride across the record. Unissued Series Part 3 consists of 4 tracks with a focus on atmospheric/ spacial elements, and developing synth work, giving each track its own unique characteristics.

Starting out with a more experimental ambient piece I made a while ago, I try to lead the listener into more depth of my sound design process. A repeating sub melody is playing as I play around with various parameters allowing for it to evolve and change in character over time. The following 2 tracks take a similar approach in the development of the atmospheres and synth sounds, supported by simple but solid drums. Rounding off the release is a track focused on delivering driving yet moving drums, supported by dubby chords, and a repetitive but evolving sequence in the low mids.

"Germanor" is the Valencian word for "brotherhood," and in this second release, we unite international artists like Blawan & Wallis, Oscar Mulero, Lewis Fautzi, Nørbak, Peder Mannerfelt, Cora Novoa, and many others who have selflessly pitched in during such a difficult time for the city.
