Based in Paris, Sense? is a tattoo artist and one of the founding members of the emerging collective Dissonance.

Initially drawing inspiration from the New Wave and Trip Hop movements, his podcasts feature artists such as Setao Mass, Rene Wise, and Deluka.
His work blends analog and digital sounds to create repetitive music that feeds off itself.
His sets, marked by subtlety and progression, plunge the listener into a hypnotic tunnel, evoking an introspective atmosphere.

DUSKCAST 041 : SENSE?

Currently celebrating 20 years of exploits and shenanigans, Enemy Records is back with a 4- track various artists EP featuring label-owner Dustin Zahn, Viels, Slone, and K.U.S.S. “IMMOLATION” exists as the spiritual successor of Enemy’s previous 4-track V.A., “BREAK A FANCY VASE.” The result is four infectious club tracks designed for optimal damage.

Zahn starts off with “Surrender the Body,” a deep narrative-focused roller designed especially for late night party people dealing with a lot of internal dialogue going on. If the meditative vocals are too much, he also supplies an alternative instrumental version, like any proper vocal club track should have!

Slone’s “Throttled” is a heads down minimalistic roller expertly filled with tension. These moments of tension break with in-your-face synth work sprinkled in at just the right moments, leading to massive responses on the dance floor.

Parisian producer K.U.S.S finally makes his label debut with “Encounter,” a polyrhythmic percussive workout that functions as a perfect tool for working DJs. The track features the perfect balance of sci-fi elements and club functionality.

Viels finishes off the EP with “Nessun Battito.” Viels combines dreamy call-and-response hooks with steady yet crafty 909 workouts to build a perfect introspective-leaning vibe that still works great at peak time.

Ra Ph est un DJ actif depuis 1997. Il entame son parcours dans les musiques électroniques en cofondant le collectif Wax Addict dans la région Grand Est au début des années 2000. En 2016, il crée le collectif T-Sar, affirmant encore davantage son engagement dans la scène techno indépendante.Installé dans un univers sonore hypnotique, percussif et profondément rythmique, Ra Ph a partagé la scène avec des artistes majeurs tels que Dave Clarke, Dax J, Florian Meindl, Slam, Fernanda Martins, Antigone, Quelza ou encore Bours. Il est aujourd’hui DJ résident au Silodom et au Sektor Heimat à Sarrebruck.En 2022, il cofonde le collectif Tekuno, dédié à l’organisation d’événements exigeants dans le Grand Est en France.Fort de son expérience derrière les platines, Ra Ph s’est récemment lancé dans la production musicale. Il a signé ses premiers titres sur Silodom, WRD Records et M4rlow Records, avec des sorties comme Fuyu No Eko, Rommelbootzen, Summer Solstice et Futur Alien.

Reuniting a tight circle of artists whose contributions have helped shape the label’s trajectory, the release offers an unrelenting sequence of pressure, mental twists, and textural collisions; a multifaceted snapshot of techno’s enduring capacity to evolve, disturb, and seduce.

The compilation resists uniformity. Instead, it thrives on contrast: tension versus release, density against spaciousness, rhythm in all its permutations. From high-energy metallic openers and dub-inflected body rollers, to disorienting, delay-heavy experiments and stripped-back percussive tools, each contribution reveals a unique grip on groove and detail. Some tracks move like engineered machines: sharp, robotic, and syncopated to surgical precision. Others embrace sensuality and unpredictability, exploring spatial motion, layered harmonic friction, and states of controlled chaos.

Each piece acts as a structural component in a larger sonic architecture, where tension is built, collapsed, and rebuilt. Friction becomes a form of choreography. Across the record, a shifting palette of emotional mechanisms takes form; granular and magnetic, haunting and quietly forceful, restrained, then disruptive.

More than a retrospective,  SK_eleven’s first compilation becomes a collective gesture toward techno’s unresolved possibilities:  its ability to hold contradiction, remain in flux, and mutate without conclusion.

It is special in many ways when a DJ surprises his audience with an all night long set. This way, he will have more time to get to know everyone on the dancefloor and their reactions, while he gets a chance to play tracks no one has heard from him before from a bigger musical palette.

An all-nighter is challenging and the DJ has a great responsibility, but thankfully Metha has proved countless times that he is up to the task. From the Hungarian artists few have such a devoted fan base in Pécs as Metha, so this will be an unforgettable party, that’s for sure!

Metha is the head of Be Massive, while he is gaining more and more attention both as a DJ and as a producer outside of Hungary too. He is a regular at Amper, where he played with Oliver Huntemann, Charlotte de Witte and Olivier Giacomotto. If you were there, you are smiling right now just by mentioning these parties. If you are not smiling right now, this is the perfect opportunity to get to know Metha really well!
