-このミックスのコンセプトを教えてください。

星はどうやってうまれるのですか？宇宙がビッグバンで生まれたとき、たくさんの水素とヘリウムのガスができました。いま私たちが見ている星は、元をたどると、みんなこのガスからできています。星はその一生を終えるときに超新星や惑星状星雲となって、いままで自分の一部だったガスを宇宙にまき散らします。そして長い年月のあとに、またこのガスの中から新しい星が生まれるのです。といったJaxaのQ&Aと似て非なるコンセプトかもしれませんね。


 -最近の活動教えて下さい。

INIT レーベルオーナー Shintaro.D と Kensuke Yasuhara のパーティー UNTITLED を 毎月 Rubby Room でやっていて、僕はレジデントdjで参加しています、同じくレジデントのTakashi Himeokaと２人でdeployをEN-SOF TOKYOで不定期開催しています、ここでは毎週月曜日にRAHAが主宰する welcometomyroomがあり、平日ですが毎週質のいい音を聴けます、是非遊びに来てみてください、僕も参加しています。

-このミックスはどこで収録されたのですか？

このmixは4月23日にモスクワのクラブArma17のの8周年パーティでライブ・レコーディングされた。大きなフロアでオーディエンスでいっぱいだった。僕は日曜の5-7時にプレイしたんだけど、客でパンパンだったしサウンドシステムもパワフルだったから、ダイナミックでストレートに行った。次のトラックでいつも驚きを覚えるようなコントラストをつけたんだ。


-このmixを制作するにあたり、もしコンセプトがあればぜひ教えてください。

これはコンセプチュアルなmixではない。スタジオでmixを作ろうとすると、僕はいつもいくつかのポイントでスタックしてしまう。僕の好きな音はとても多様だから、方向性を決める時にいつもジレンマを感じてしまうんだ。僕にはダンスフロアそのままをそこに還元するライブのエナジーが必要なんだ。だからこのmixは僕のパーティでの自然な状態が収められているよ。


-最近の活動を教えて下さい。

僕はいつもKievのCloserを運営する仕事でいっぱいだよ。大好きな仕事だけど、僕のコピーがいたらそっちをやってもらって、僕はスタジオ・ワークに専念出来るのになあ（笑）。Closerは月曜が休みだからその日が唯一スタジオに入れる日。僕は月曜に作業するのが好きなんだ。なぜなら前週末にパーティで得たインスピレーションをまだリアルに感じる事が出来るから。例えば先週の月曜はその日のうちに2曲を仕上げられる程たくさんのインスピレーションがあった。それを次の週末キエフのOstrovフェスでテストしたんだ。また、もうすぐレーベルをはじめる予定だよ。名前は『Closer Pizzeria』、スペシャルなピザのデリバリーさ！今、僕らのスタジオから産まれた仲間達のトラックがたくさんあるからね。楽しみにしていて！

-こちらはどちらで収録したミックスですか？

地元ドイツ・ライプツィヒにあるDistillery Clubでレコーディングしたよ。僕が10年以上レジデントをやっているクラブだよ。家でミックスを作るのとは環境も心境も違うから、このクラブでレコーディングしたいと思ったんだ。


-使用機材を教えてください。

CDJ-2000nexus3台とXone:92。CDJ3台でミックスするのが好きかな。昔は20年間くらいターンテーブル３台使ってたよ。。でも今ではデジタルでのミックスにだいぶ慣れかな。ピッチも揺れないしループもできるから便利だよね。特にループモードは気に入ってる。他のトラックのビートでトラックを埋め尽くすこともできるし。ミックス中、次のトラックにフェードアウトしていく時でもループすることでそのトラックのバイブスを最後までキープすることができる。


-コンセプトがあれば教えてください。

The DLSK soundは、Baby Fordとか、Melchior Productions、Ricardo Villalobosに影響を受けたような特定の美的感覚にフォーカスしてる。そういう音楽が本当に好きで、その辺のヴァイナルのコレクターなんだ。Daniel Stefanikのセットとは全く違うDLSKのサウンドを表現したくてこのミックスをレコーディングした。Daniel Stefanik = Cocoonで、前向きな感じ。DLSKはもっとアフターアワーズにしっくりくる感じかな。


-最近の活動を教えてください。

嬉しいことに、DLSK名義でGrowin' Musicからのリリースが決まってるんだ。あと最近Cocoonのコンピレーションシリーズ『Dots & Pearls』のミックスを担当した。制作面で結構忙しい時期だったよ。

-こちらのミックスはどちらで収録したものですか？

このミックスは僕が担当しているFMラジオ“Resonance”のエピソードの一部なんだ。“Resonance”はモスクワに拠点を置くミュージシャン向けのプラットフォームで、このミックスはほとんどロシアの無名アーティストの楽曲で構成されているんだ。


-コンセプトがあれば教えてください。

このミックスの背景について話していたら、“Resonance”とは何なのか、ということについていろいろな発見をすることができたよ。“Resonance”は、ロシアの若いミュージシャンたちにどんなことをすべきかについて、アイディアを与える場として作られた。広いロシアの中にこんなにたくさんのミュージシャンがいて、ほとんどのミュージシャンは同じ場所でライブをし続けているということを教えたかった。僕らのウェブサイト　www.resonance.moscow　では、街をタップすればそこでどんなミュージシャンが活動しているのか知ることができる。それによってミュージシャン同士の隔たりを無くし、距離を縮めることができたんだ。


-最近の活動を教えてください。

パーティー、ラジオ番組、そしてロシアのニューカマーも準備できてる。今はこのロシアンビューティーを世界に発信するための最後のステップに取り組んでいるところだよ。9月か10月にはレーベルResonanceをローンチして最初のEPがリリースされる。世界的にも知られている、才能のあるプロデューサーUnbroken DubのEPだよ。僕個人では、たくさんのリリースが控えていてその準備に追われている。とても幸せだよ。やっと僕の楽曲が意味を成して、大勢の人が聴いて、評価してくれるようになった。　エモーショナルな体験こそ自分が音楽に反映したいと思っていること。新しい人々との出会い、そして旅行が自分にとても大きな影響を与えていて、それ以外は必要無いくらいだ。
