Ben Tinsley composed "Soy Un Fantasma" in 2014 to explore the realm of Tejano music. 
The song — while belied by its cheerful tone and quick Cumbia beat — tells the tale of a ghost who haunts a former lover who murdered him. The ghost wants his former lover to join him in Hell so they can hold one another while burning together forever. 
Ben Tinsley did not speak Spanish at the time he wrote the lyrics, After initial composition in English, he translated the lyrics to Spanish using the Internet app Babel Fish. composed the melody line and relied on producer and Tejano veteran Roger Moya to surround the song with the appropriate instruments and a strong, valid, Cumbia beat. Cumbia is a music genre popular throughout Latin America.
The bilingual Moya also inspected every word in every lyric, making sure Tinsley pronounced everything correctly. He may have missed a word or two.

Ben Tinsley Orchestra (Ben-Tee-Oh), formed in 2008, is the musical platform for Texas film actor Ben Tinsley. 
A classically-trained alumni of the Texas Boys Choir, Tinsley has sung and performed publicly since age 9. At 11, Tinsley toured the country with the Texas Boys Choir. 
In his late teens, Tinsley and guitarist Jimmy Payne created the rock band Blind Concept, which split up a few years later. 
When in Las Vegas in 2008, Tinsley decided to create his first solo album — one drawing from a variety of musical influences and crafted in no specific style or genre.
Under the working name Ben Tinsley Orchestra, or "Ben-Tee-Oh," Tinsley's first album "No Apologies" houses a variety of rock, big band, ballad, country western and even Disco songs. Tinsley's collaborators Mato of Las Vegas, and Roger Moya of South Texas work with him to shape his music.
