So about 3 weeks before I married the beautiful Laura, I decided I WOULD have a go after all and compose something for her to walk in to. This was what I managed with very little time. Everyone seemed to like it, including her, which is definitely the main thing! I've had a couple of requests to hear it so, here it is :)

Composition/Production: The Goose

Between November of last year and May of this, I had the pleasure of producing some tracks for Ashanti Strings. Here is just a taster of some of what we ended up with. Their playing was fab and they were able to give me great guidance on the kind of sounds and arrangements they were looking for. I engineered, mixed and mastered all the recordings, as well as doing most of the arrangements.

A Window On a New World – F# minor (tempo 53)

For library music submission. A simple jaunt around the key of F major becomes at once a bluesy, folksy and festive fireside melody filled with memory and warmth. Echoes of Christmas carols make this seasonally suggestive. Featuring a solo blues guitar, multiple acoustic guitar picking layers, and later on, layered vocal harmonies padding the background.
