Welcome to my Video Game and Anime cover project, Strettostein! I'll be arranging, recording and uploading more content in the near future. Stay tuned for more arrangements!

The arrangement features an extended Taiko/Shamisen introduction but then transitions into the the original structure. I took a few liberties with the electric guitar parts in this one as well, but kept the majority of the arrangement very loyal to the original. I also tried to keep the cover fairly accessible!

Greetings!

I decided to arrange the music from one of my favorite childhood games, Mario Kart 64's Rainbow Road track. The piece remains in a Jazz/Fusion style with some rock influences, keeping the melodies very loyal to the original while re-harmonizing its support!

I also added some textures from the original Rainbow Road track from SNES's Mario Kart, mainly around the beginning of the cover.

Unfortunately don't have anything transcribed to tabs or a score, as everything was performed from memory!

Greetings!

An arrangement of one of my favorite pieces, by one of my favorite video game composers, Jun Ishikawa! Many great tracks can be found in Kirby Super Star, but I thought I'd give this one a run. I decided to transcribe and add the original theme from Metaknight's Revenge opening at the beginning : )

The mix sounds good, but took a while to combine the sound worlds created by ensembles. I will revisit the mix for this piece in the future and upload a revised version to my SoundCloud page.

Steel Samurai & Cross Examination - Arranged! [Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney]

Hi!

Here's something I wrote today with some free soundfonts I found online as an exercise.

After a bit of tweaking I managed to add different types of controls to the patches in order to get filter sweeps and other forms of vibrato/bends. It's my first time working with soundfonts, but it turned out to be a very cool experience. In the future I'd like to integrate many of these sounds to other ensembles, such as an orchestra or a jazz band.

Hello! 

Here is a track inspired by some of the pieces in a video game called "Mystery Room" from the Layton series. It's fairly different than some of the other Prof. Layton games, but still very fun to play. The soundtrack is fantastic as well.

In my composition I wanted to tell a story in three main steps, while adding a tinge of lightheartedness!

Mystery, Encounter and Pursuit

Hello!

Here is a track I created in a hybrid orchestral style. It's separated in different layers so that they fade in and out when combat starts and ends!

It features some traditional cinematic action writing with a bit of sound design to add the "hybrid" sound.

The piece was created for my Unity and Fabric audio implementation portfolio that I'm currently working on. It's already been added and programmed into the demo of Angry Bots obtained from Unity's site.

Originally titled "Repentance Under the Aurora Borealis", but decided to make some final changes to the piece and take it in a different direction!

On a more technical note,  I had some fun experimenting with the automation for the reverb parameters, as well as the EQ bands that controlled the Mid/Side stereo image.

Under the Aurora Borealis

Salutations!

Here is a short fantasia-like composition written as a result of experimenting with different workflow schemes! I tend to daydream a bit, so I've decided to write a few of the ideas that appear when this happens. I suppose this would be a diary of sorts. : ) 

I changed the way I usually write for orchestra, and ended up sketching the entire work into five grand staves (one for each instrument family). The next step involved exporting and preparing the MIDI data out of the notation program and into the DAW to begin mocking up the score.

A bit on the side of an Adventure/Fantasy cue, featuring many modulations and abrupt changes of direction and very fun to write! Motive exposition and development sprinkled here and there, plus a few characteristic gestures helped propel the piece forward.
