THE OCEAN (from Andrei Tarkovsky's SOLARIS) brings a vast, slow-paced droning soundscape before us. Just as in the pensive masterpiece that inspired it, everything is uncertain, the space is undefined and balance is fragile. The only fixed point appears to be Hari's voice, as palpable as her words are fleeting. Unearthly, this meditative piece finishes the voyage into the seventh art, immersing us in the obscure waters of the unfathomable ocean.

Senior is the introverted, dwelling and sometimes graceful counterpart to last year's Junior: brim-full with dark secrets and distorted memories, insisting I'm old, I've got experience... Senior  is furthermore an album about age, horses and being subdued, with devils breathing down your neck. Each track is equally as important as its predecessor and successor. We feel that none of the tracks should be regarded outside of this context. Quite a "brave"/stupid thing to do in this day & age of iPods and cherrypicking, one might suggest. We couldn't agree more - hell that's even probably why we did it.

Are the seven minutes of hypnotic riffs on "Black Mountie" the missing link between prog rock and prog house? Is "Organized Zounds" what moon gravity does to Coldcut and Plastikman records? Was "Killing Jokes II" secretly recorded by Vangelis on a pill bender during the Blade Runner sessions? Whatever you might hear bouncing around its individual elements, J0T5 is no retro exercise or mere collection of references; Booth and Chameleonic have paid loving tribute to their record collections while managing to sound unlike anyone but themselves.
