Scene: DEAS (Krakow's dance music scene is thriving mix)

If there's anyone who'd fit in practically any line-up or timeslot, its this man. For the last decade Sean Rickett has spent countless hours digging all sorts of records and building a vast musical collection. This is reflected in his diverse DJ sets which range between different sub-genres of the electronic spectrum with an ever-present nod to the 90's Rave scene. This mix is another fine example of that as he masterfully delivers a high-impact 80 minute selection of UK Bass-Heaviness, old school breaks, sci-fi Techno and a healthy dose of Acid lines as you'd expect.

As a queer person exploring their identity, AWood gives credit to the rave for being the place where they found self-love and acceptance. Today, AWood pays respect to the music that changed their life by curating sets that take the dancefloor on a white-knuckled ride of anticipation and euphoria with their transgressive selection of techno, house, trance, and beyond. 

AWood has brought their distinct sound to events across Canada, playing extended sets in Vancouver, Calgary, and recently performing at Shambhala Music Festival in 2022. From the studio, their recent releases include a techno EP "Alchemy" on Canadian label Emergent, as well as a house single "Running Away" on Chicago-based label Sollors Systems. They are grateful for the opportunity to share 3 of their unreleased tracks in this mix for Obskur.
