Thank you to all who made this evening happen, those who came, listened attentively, shut their eyes and let the music fill the room on an amazing system that Saturday evening. It really was a special, memorable moment for me.  

The set includes lots of unreleased/forthcoming ASIP music, alongside releases from Quiet Places, Max Würden and Merrin Karras, plus some of my fave moments from Field Lines Cartographer, Echospace, qebrµs, Sindh, Jo Johnson, Acronym, Endurance and Wndfrm.

ASIP @ Liminal Dreams, Tokyo

I'm really moved by how @xnyhne described their Koreanness, in part, as "a willpower to preserve". In this sense, their mix evokes in me the same kinds of tensions I feel between the necessary pain of remembering and the compulsory mania of transmuting that pain into an unknown forward. It takes us backwards into ancestral history, through brooding, distorted soundscapes, and then towards a future where high-octane, han-releasing rhythms abound.

Nyhne is a bloodstained poem in an ornate frame. It is the sonic moniker of Nancy Kim, a queer Korean-American interdisciplinary artist, whose work navigates across sculpture, sound, design, and architecture. Their projects consider both time and “waste” as physical materials that transmute into portals to hidden stories. As Nyhne, their music explores feedback, drone, experimental noise, found sounds, ritual, and spoken word, often forming textural landscapes for catharsis.

After meeting at the Mostra festival in Barcelona, there was an immediate connection which only strengthened after listening through a few of her ‘Bright Pattern’ shows she hosts on the Lot Radio. Her mix for today showcases several pieces by Norm Chambers, as she writes – ‘including a new one released by his family on the anniversary of his passing. His music continues to inspire me to push myself deeper into my own imagination and stitch it into a sonic narrative. Somewhere lurking under the last leaves on the ground, squirming and squelching with the mycelium and microorganisms, we find Timnahs sonic world tucked away in a sacred place. Taking inspiration from the natural world, she has solidified a name for herself as a purveyor of psychedelic rhythms and carefully curated cacophonies. As a resident at the renowned Elysia club in Basel, she has honed her skills further and expanded her sound into ambient and experimental territories. 

This edition of Unrush is a testament to Timnah's ear for the uncanny and sense for crafting a dynamic narrative. Solemn drones guide us like a soft breeze into the winter months, only interrupted by washes of organic textures and subtle electronics. We hope you enjoy this masterful mix from one of Switzerland's finest.

We are deeply excited to share Donato and Marco’s grand finale for the last edition of Terraforma at Villa Arconati. With great humbleness, these two masters and dear friends have carefully broadened and lulled, record after record, an intimate space of trust, exchange and deep-time connection. 
 
Also, we’d like to add a fond memory that was shared with us a few days after:

“Dozzy and Shuttle’s finale unfolded like twilight. A prolonged dusk caressed by an eerie drizzle. Shadows and whispers echoing with the surroundings. Synapses slowly reaching the ground, merging and becoming one with the underground rhizomatic networks. A memorable rendez-Nous within a fractal space. It felt like being at the core center of the matrix, enveloped by a warmth reminiscent of a maternal womb. I found myself in a weightless suspension, envisioning the past, the present and the future, all together in a blink of an eye.”
