A simmering slice of futuristic introspection comes courtesy of Montreal-based sound artist @BenedicteMusic — appearing on the radar last year courtesy of @BlueberryRecordings incredible 'Unbroken Dreams Of Light' compilation, she follows-up with a immense five-tracker on the imprint, entitled 'When It Binds'.

When It Binds is a collection of songs composed over the last 3 years, and serves as Bénédicte’s personal exploration of what happens after an emotional connection is established with someone. How does this change who we are? How are our emotional landscapes altered with this new form of inter-subjectivity? Each song on the album is a different and searching sonic interpretation of these questions and a response to ever-changing emotional shifts.

Bénédicte is the musical project of Montreal-based producer and sound artist Maxime Gordon. Bénédicte’s music is a study of restrained feeling, containing soaring synths within a landscape that is strictly minimalist. She distorts field-recordings and vocal samples, splicing the human and familiar with the unnatural.
