PARAMIDA’s Love On The Rocks imprint kicks off 2025 with Mineral House: a brand new EP courtesy of Retromigration & Niklas Wandt.

The duo, collaborating here for the first time, have created five cuts of irresistible house music – a tapestry of analogue synths, drum machines, effects and computer wizardry. Shimmering high-end frequencies and ‘90s-inspired grooves with effervescent, liquid touches; life-affirming kicks, uplifting pads, amen breaks and vocal samples: it’s all here and quite unlike anything you’ve heard from them before.

“We met in Amsterdam through a mutual friend and struck up an immediate connection, as jazz, funk and electronic music practitioners with similarly diverse interests and tastes,” explains Niklas. “On another visit a few months later, I showed Malik some demos I had recorded in Berlin that I liked but felt stuck with. Within a matter of a few minutes, he flipped them into a pumping and extremely funky beast that became our first track together. This spawned an on and off process over the next couple months of ping-ponging ideas and elements back and forth.”

The result: an exquisite vision of ultra-fresh, glistening future house from a bright sonic planet, replete with layers of intricate programming that bubble up like rarified elements around the listener, conjuring memories of ancient shapes and forms, joyfully untethered to the past, where magical fauna soar in the skies, and dance in celebration in the crystalline waters below. 

The sound of the elements crashing against each other to create new forms, heavenly and rare, pure and exciting: Mineral House.

We first became aware of B.Love at Phonica Records when a brightly coloured record called Music Dance Experience was eagerly thrust into the hands of Ralph Lawson on Record Store Day 2024. Despite the huge number of records released for RSD available in the store the fresh sounds emanating from that disc, including the superbly tongue in cheek Oranj Juice, left Lawson mesmerised although he had no idea that the artist behind the record was also the resident DJ at Bizarre Trax where he was on his way to play.

PREMIERE: B.Love - Bisous [20/20 Vision]

Dutch producer Kaap presents Love As One, a new EP that reflects on the subtle, in-between moments on the dance floor. Inspired by the tail end of the night morphing into the early after hours. The release captures a familiar feeling: unsure whether to head home, stay a little longer, or simply settle into the warmth of the music and the people around you.

The title track is a deep tech house cut built around a rolling groove and Kaap’s signature hardware-driven production style. It offers a sense of calm energy and forward momentum, while staying rooted in a pumping house sound.

Elias Mazian contributes a remix that leans into the emotional side of the track. His version opens up the original and delivers something more tender, with melodic touches that feel both introspective and uplifting. It’s a take that stays close to the spirit of the original while adding a distinct emotional layer.

Love As One is a tribute to connection and resonance. It speaks to the quiet moments that can happen on a dance floor, where strangers briefly sync and everything feels aligned.
