For our 10th podcast release, we welcome Tsukuyomi, the alias of Tbilisi-based DJ and producer Dadu Dzagnidze. Since starting his musical journey in 2020, Tsukuyomi has been shaping a distinctive sound—fast-paced, raw, and experimental—deeply influenced by his time spent on the dancefloor. The atmosphere of local clubs and the artistry of talented Georgian DJs played a key role in developing his approach to music.

His connection to sound runs deep, having explored various genres since childhood and even playing guitar for a time. However, it was in 2018, through a growing passion for techno, that his musical perspective truly evolved. Two years later, he started DJing and collecting records, and soon after, he delved into music production. Now, he is preparing to debut his first live set, alongside upcoming self-releases and future projects.

When it comes to inspiration, Yanamaste stands out as a major influence. Beyond music, he finds creativity in graphic design, anime, and camping, alongside quality time with friends. Lately, you’ll find him looping "The World In Devotion" by November Növelet, a track that resonates deeply with him.

As for clubs that left a mark, KHIDI and Bassiani are at the top of his list—spaces that have not only shaped his musical vision but continue to push the underground scene forward.

We’re excited to have him in the series—tune in and experience the sound of Tsukuyomi.

Marking his first solo release on Room Trax, Ben Reymann presents ‘Voltage & Memory’, a
four-track EP that balances emotional gravitas with club precision.

The opening track ‘Distress’ sets the tone with a cavernous, rolling energy—dark, texturized, and deeply physical. Built on a driving low-end and minimalistic structure, each element locks in with precision, creating a brooding yet highly functional techno piece. From there, ‘Meeting in the Dark’ shifts into a dreamlike meditation, opening with soft padded atmospheres and robotic,

Japanese vocals that gently guide the listener inward. There's a taste of melancholy nestled within its rhythmic structure, a track that lingers more like a moment than a motif. ‘Warmth & Sentiment’ takes that emotional tension and stretches it across a broader dancefloor context—still dreamy, but now more grounded and diverse in its expression, offering a powerful follow-up that expands the EP’s scope. Finally, ‘Dissolve’ arrives as a perfect closer: majestic pads open the piece, slowly lifted by a faded broken beat, until a ghostly vocal emerges, carrying the whole to its emotional peak. With a Burial-esque sensibility and a DnB-influenced pulse, it ties together the narrative arc with depth and closure.

Dupree’s cosmic ambient opener, 'Jacurutu', sinks you into deep, sub-aquatic techno hypnosis before 'Heretics' layers up alien sounds and rolling kick drums. 'Syk' brings edgy, unrelieved loops and muffled spoken words over more mind-melting rhythm. The supple sounds and otherworldly atmospheres continue on 'Forms', which is marbled with static electricity, with 'Interlude of Voice' marking a moment to reset amongst gorgeous celestial synth smears.

The second half of the album takes in the more punchy but still perfectly loopy deep techno of 'Memory Replacement' and psychedelic swirls of 'Tongue of the Unseen'. There is a mystical charm to the harmonic tones of 'Gammu', a moodier vibe pervades the suspensory 'Fogwood', then ' Semuta Music' traps you in tightly coiled drums and hi-hats while a backlit glow soothes the soul.  'One of Many Faces' closes with a heart-aching piano piece that gets deeply emotional.

Kobe Dupree is a techno artist from Chicago with a deep interest in sound design and minimalism. His musical experiments have been released on Trax Research, Double Vision Records and DJ Hyperactive’s 4Trk, on which he released the ‘Stimulate | Iterate’ EP in 2024. He has a hybrid approach to production, which involves using a modular rig for sound design before moving to a DAW for arrangement and final touches, heard on the sophisticated and cerebral ‘Voice From The Inside’ album.

The inspiration for Skydivers came from a deep need to express freedom, both emotionally and
creatively.

Organic textures, instrumental elements, and striking melodic moments run through the heart of this release. With a deep sense of musicality and groove, Skydivers blends drive and emotions in equal measure, bridging raw club energy with a more introspective rhythmic feeling. It’s a deeper release!

During the process, I found myself drawn to more organic elements! Instruments, textured layers, and subtle melodies that could live within the structure of techno but also stretch beyond it. I wanted every track to feel alive, to breathe, to carry a human touch beneath the rhythm.

Skydivers became a personal journey. Not just a release, but a snapshot of a period where I explored new sounds without overthinking, allowing instinct to guide me.

I didn’t want to follow a strict formula, I wanted to stay honest to what felt right, even if it wasn’t “safe.”

Each track is a part of that story.
