Released on the 2 year anniversary of the killing of Philando Castille. This is a tribute to Philando Castille, Alton Sterling & the 5 Dallas police officers shot in July 2016.
It is my hope and prayer that the words of Isaiah 2:4, an organizing principle for the United Nations, will come sooner than we can hope “& they shall beat their swords into plowshares, & their spears into pruninghooks”

I was asked to do a cover of "The Sound of Silence" by Simon & Garfunkel for Riverside Church in NYC. For Lent 2020 they were releasing a cover every Friday along with a reflection from the artist about silence.
I'm proud to say that this track is entirely self produced, a first for me as an artist.

If you’re anything like us, your mind can be an unreliable narrator. Faced with distance, with conflict, with uncertainty, fear and anxiety become wide-awake late-night children, jumping on the bed, throwing tantrums of panic in your body, keeping you from trust, keeping you from sleep. 

This is a lullaby for the what ifs and maybes that keep you awake. It’s a love song written by partners too many mile apart, to mend the anxiety in the distance between them. It’s a song for anyone who knows what it feels like awake in bed with worry, to hold back for fear of being hurt, to feel stuck in an old story when you only want to move on. In other words, it’s a song for everyone. It’s a song for you.
