I started writing this right at the beginning of the pandemic while waiting for a class of young children to arrive. No one came (which was good) and instead I had the beginning of this song, and just the words, "don't be scared". It felt like a lullaby to those children, but as the pandemic wore on, I realized that it was more of a lullaby to myself, and those like me, who have felt waves of so many emotions through these very strange months.
