Written for one of the last scenes of the game 'Brothers: A Tale Of Two Sons'.
One of my all time favourite short story games.

I wrote this short piece a year ago for an IB media composition project but only thought to upload it now

uneasiness, awkwardness, disorientation, what have you:

My latest composition explores the boundaries between melodies and narratives, whilst utilising a unique 12-tone approach to traditional voice leading and melody, avoiding aleatoric imitation. My goal, in essence, is to compose musical juxtapositions, often writing melody prudently to oppose harmony. It is of paramount importance that transformative, ultra-soloistic ensemble-juxtapositions must never be allowed to become eclectic, or overly decoratively complex. The pursuit of hyper-qualm thematic fragments to illustrate the mostly-choral paradigm is a key focus of mine. This composition delineates the concept of awkwardness, hence the title, juxtaposing somewhat musically, and concluding with a rather dissonant series of disorientating 'pitch-metamorphoses' (as I like to call them).
