Murmurations Part 01

Ben Hunt returns on his own Murmurations labels, with 4 tracks of electronic goodness.

The EP kicks off with Dub’d, a spacey low slung groover with echoey 303s and a gorgoeus vocal sample, before stepping up a gear with the frenzied percussion of Feergud. The Chase features a moroder inspired bassline, urgent synth stabs and operatic vocals for maximum dancefloor effect, before things finally cool down again with the deep house 80s vibes of Without You.

Dub'd

Ben Hunt returns with three new tracks.
Title track Namaqua is a slow-as-you-like chugger, complete with African-inspired vocal chops and percussion.  
Dark Star keeps thing nice and low with a chugging bass riff and dubby vocal snippets, and Altered States is an electro inspired uptempo number featuring spoken word samples.
Closing the EP, Ian Vale (Paisley Dark, Nein Records) turns in a stellar electro breaks remix of the title track, upping the tempo and addng a scorching 303.

Spellbound kicks off proceedings with eerie vocals and synth stabs, followed by The Watcher’s nagging bass riff and echoing 303s. Up next is Matador, a housier number which opened Ben’s recent Feed Your Head mix, and finally fellow Brightonian Airsine turns in a stunning post-punk inspired remix of the title track.

Echo Chamber (Album)

Ben Hunt returns with his debut album, Echo Chamber, to be released on  7th March.

Drawing inspiration from some of the electronic records that shaped his youth - by the likes of The Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk, and The Avalanches — the album is designed to be experienced as a continuous piece, with many tracks seamlessly mixed or segued into one another, on a journey that takes in chugging house, acid, electro and breakbeat along the way.
